I'm not thinking of changing any charms or abilities. But no, I hadn't checked them. New here. Anyway , I don't want a Matrix look but a new battlefield for epic battles. Imagine a Solar archer on top of a skyskraper shoting down helicopters. It won't be easy for new exalts. Firearms would be the reason the humans won the Dragon Blooded so mortals have more power now. - [[SonirAm]] | I'm not thinking of changing any charms or abilities. But no, I hadn't checked them. So, you're view of Exalted Modern is more time-travel heroes of ancient epics appear in NYC, rather than similiar yet updated heroes. Gotcha. - Sidereal : Picture them as the Men In Black . Always there , controling everything , but nobody knows about it
- Lunars : The aliens. Still in the edge of Creation , they managed again to survive. The Silver Pact visits new Lunars and kidnaps them.
- Dragon Blooded : Sidereals keep them under control. Having defeted them using a huge organized rebelion of common mortals , they are now only breeding them as their main defence versus the Lunars. If any Outcast emerges , there are assasins sent to bring him in.
- Abyssals : After heavy loses , the Deathlords and their minions are now allied with the Sidereals. The Sidereals make sure that wars happen every now and then for them. There only a few shadowlands left. The most known is the Bermouda Triangle.
- Alchemicals : When Autochthon woke up , he gave his people only one order: "Bring me forth Gaia!" . His exalted were not only accepted in Heaven , but Gaia was also expecting them. Since then , the nature of Creation changed... Autochthonians are still "Out There" in a loose alliance with the Sidereal.
- Deamons : They are still here. They corrupt our world. They just found the sealed Solar essences. And they are setting them free...
- Solars : Not being able to survive the Age of Sorrows , the Sidereals did it to them again. But they are now back!
- Fair Folk : They are not here. They are away. They fight Alchemicals. It's not our war any more. Is it?
Didn't want a WoD setting. Suggestions or comments?
Out of my morbid sense of curiousity, have you checked out ExMod, Balthasar's old Exalted: Modern widgty thing? DS

In a way. Flashbacks can be used to make everyday people think they can be cool. So , new exalts will be more like people who , for some reason , fit the abilities of their past incarnation (or something). What I want now is to find any scenario "holes" and fix them. -SonirAm
To be honest, it feels a lot like a Mage game; Sidereals and Autochtonians form the Technocracy, Daemons are the Nepherandi, and Solars and Lunars are the 'heroic' mages. Of course, that's pretty hard to escape, given how Exalted is set up. Two 'think about this' questions: Why did the Sidereals rein in the Terrestrials if they were successful? And, why did the Lunars end up running away again? Interesting setting, reading this the first time is actually what got me to finally write up my take on ExMod. $.02 &Arafelis
For the Terrestials I'm going with the classic: The Empress returns and she is an Infernal. She starts doing what she did best (manipulating the houses that is) but with a twist. She forces the houses in a Realm Wide War. For the Lunars I have a very nice idea. The Sidereals decide that the only way they could control and maintain Creation again was to banish all heavy essence users. They convince the Autochthonians to help them whipe out their troubles. Lunars started losing and escaped in the newly found places of creation: The planets took form after Autochthon entered Creation and Lunars migrated there. Well , those that could anyway. The Sidereals split Creation then with the Autochthonians. Sids kept the old lands and Autos took the stars. Autos meet Fair Folf. Autos start war with the forces of the Wyld at the new edges of Creation. Autos make a lot of wins. Creation expands even more. Etc , etc... - SonirAm
