I can't honestly remember. They certainly don't -start- with graces, but can parallel several charm-like effects with merits. You would think it would be logical for them to be able to learn actual charms if/when they got some graces, but, hey, the fae are anything but logical at the best of times ^_^ <br> -- [[Darloth]]

Frequently Asked Questions

  • If a Raksha is attacked in the Wyld, not by shaping combat but in normal combat, and 'killed', not by a Creation-born but a Raksha, is it permanently dead, or can it use a shaping action to reform itself?
    • Yes; Raksha cannot be permanently killed by other Raksha outside of Creation without something like Cold Iron.
    • Not a final answer,
  • What precisely are the Graces? What's this about 'attuning' to them?
    • Each Grace is not only a statistic, but an artifact. The artifact associated with a Grace IS the physical incarnation of a Grace. I will refer to this artifact as a Grace Seal. When the Grace is created, the Grace Seal is also created in the same action; see the Forging the (Grace) Grace charms on page 185-187. The Cup, Ring, Sword and Staff are invulnerable as though composed of the 5MM, while the Heart is unbreakable by nearly all outside means; there are a couple of personal Charms that lets the holder shatter it, though. By default, Grace Seals have no other powers besides this beyond those of a gossamer item. They *can* be made into Artifacts while maintaining their purpose as a raksha's Grace, however.

  • Can anyone other than Raksha gain graces and/or learn Fair Folk charms, shaping combat, glamour sorcery, adjurations or behemoths?
    • Yes. Raksha can forge graces for any consenting being, but only Lunars, Eclipse Solars and Moonshadow Abyssals can learn the Charms associated with them. Details of where these rulings are and how this might be useful can be found at LunarsAreFineFairFolk/FAQ/FairFolkCharms.

IIRC, Fae-Blooded can also learn Raksha charms. Am I misremebering this?

I can't honestly remember. They certainly don't -start- with graces, but can parallel several charm-like effects with merits. You would think it would be logical for them to be able to learn actual charms if/when they got some graces, but, hey, the fae are anything but logical at the best of times ^_^

I may just be confusing the Mountain Folk & their kids, but I thought it was in the same section that states that Lunars can learn them.
