The Stewards of Autumn
Autumn is a time of gathering, change, and fruition; the stewards of Autumn are the chosen champions of that ideal, devoting themselves to rewarding effort, capitalizing on potentials, and creating abundance in the world. In the First Age they were assigned to the vast plantations of Creation, determining when to plant, to what extent, and how to best get returns from one's efforts. They used their skills to clear away obstacles, work diligently, and cut away disease and opposition. The fall of the Deliberative, however, was anathema to the growing crops, an early frost that made all of their efforts in vain. Those that survived the conflict - and perilous few they were, allied for the most part against the disruptive Solars - were quietly isolated in remote communities, and either deliberately silenced or fell among the chaos of the Contagion.
The Autumn caste are drawn from those with a slow depth to their goals - a down-to-earth dedication that fits their season. Those sages whose greatest passion is the rewards of hard work and whose greatest valor is in the face of disruptive influences are its greatest stock of potential - they are slow growers, nestled in bureaucracies and farming collectives. Their miracles capitalize on what exists, eke out great gains from very little, and divide plenty. Their greatest flaw is a certain plodding nature that makes them not fit to explosive action - they may deliberate or pause when rapidity is needed, or remain stagnant in the face of change.
Caste Mark: As the champions of Gaia, the Arcadians are not marked in the same fashion as most Celestial Exalts. The stewards of Autumn have had their Shards cluthed in Gaia's callused hands - as such their 'mark' is a diverse pattern of vines bearing fruit covering the hands and arms. Depending on the balance of Callings achieved by the Arcadian, these vines and their ripe harvest will be various shades of green (Birth), red (Sowing), orange (Harvest), white (Burial), or indigo (Calibration). The more intense the Calling, the more prevalent the color, and the more potent the Arcadian's Essence, the farther up the body the mark spreads.
Anima Banner: The Autumn banner is Harvest rampant in the world - an orange light that seeps into the ground and across the sky, bringing detail to light and muting imperfections. As the anima approaches iconic, the drawing force becomes more potent - at the iconic level, heavy fruit gently drops off of branches and leaves shift wildly in color.
Anima Effects: To be determined.
Granted Doctrines: Autumn was granted by the Mother the Doctrines of the Plow (Medicine), the Hearty Son (Athletics), the Wise Man (Lore), the Scythe (Melee), and Swirling Leaves (Dodge).
Associations: The element of Water, the Western direction, sunset, the Harvest calling, and the virtue of temperance.
Sobriquets: Apricot Elders, The Strong Brothers or Sisters, Mother's Hands
