Prescient Hunter's Cascade
Cost: 1m per attack Mins: Archery 3, Essence 2 Type: Supplemental Keywords: Combo-OK Duration: Instant Prereqs: Any Archery Excellency
As her first arrow lands, the Infernal slices back through time to allow another to fly, adjusting his aim as memories of additional arrows coalesce in his target's mind. This Charm may be used to supplement a set of attacks, doubling the onslaught penalty experienced by his targets.
Calm And Storm Stance
Cost: 10m, 1wp Mins: Archery 5, Essence 2 Type: Extra Action Keywords: Combo-OK, Obvious Duration: Instant Prereqs: Prescient Hunter's Cascade
The Infernal is still for a moment, and the world stills with her. So smoothly as to not break the trance, she fires again and again, seeming to blur and distort into many forms with an increasing wail of rent air. When she retracts from her stance, those arrows erupt at full speed in a glittering cavalcade toward her foes. This Charm allows the Infernal to make attacks equal to her Archery score, distributed as she wishes amongst those visible.
Time-Defying Arrow
Cost: 3 motes, 1 Willpower Mins: Archery 3, Essence 2 Type: Reflexive Keywords: Combo-Basic Duration: Instant Prereqs: Prescient Hunter's Cascade
As celestial law fractures with the ringing of a thousand distant bells, the Infernal fires an arrow so fast that it lands before it is drawn. This Charm may be activated after any other character declares their action, and allows the Infernal to make a single immediate attack of their own, whose results are resolved instantaneously. They must have a bow and ammunition available, and in the process of performing an Aim, Defend or Join Battle action. Apart from where stated above, this is identical to a normal attack action (including Speed delay afterward).
Insidious Tendril Attack
Cost: 3 motes Mins: Archery 2, Essence 2 Type: Supplemental Keywords: Combo-OK, Obvious Duration: Instant Prereqs: None
Slivers of venomous Essence drip from the Infernal's fingertips, running down her arrow as it quivers and ripples in pain. The resultant arrow, smeared with searing energy the colour of the Exalt's own anima, adds the character's Essence to its raw damage. This cursed Essence is anathema to Heavenly creatures, and deals aggravated damage to them.
Veiled Weave of Deception
Cost: - (1m, 1 Willpower per attack) Mins: Archery 3, Essence 3 Type: Permanent Keywords: Obvious Prereqs: Insidious Tendril Attack
As defining entities of Creation, the Primordials knew only truth; it is with their passing that these have become lies. Invoking this aspect, the Infernal may spend a mote of Essence and point of Willpower at any time to delude Fate and state an arrow into existence. This ephemeral ammunition acts like a target arrow, save that it is invisible; subtract 2 from the DV of anyone unable to see immaterial objects. Being hit by one of this arrows imposes a -1 penalty to all rolls involving mental actions for the rest of the scene, owing to the arrow's sussurating whispers and impossible nature. Creatures immune to supernatural mental influence by the Infernal are likewise immune to this effect.
Six Sliver Hex
Cost: 3m or 8m per duplicate Mins: Archery 4, Essence 3 Type: Supplemental Keywords: Combo-OK, Obvious Duration: Instant Prereqs: Veiled Weave of Deception
Surrounding her arrow with an essence-drawn arcane diagram, the Infernal looses it from her bow. In flight, the symbol unfolds to summon additional bolts from the depths of Malfeas, duplicates of the initial attack. This Charm is functionally identical to the Solar Charm Rain of Feathered Death, named after a particularly powerful wielder of this technique.
Corona of Fractured Meaning
Cost: 10 motes, 2 Willpower Mins: Archery 5, Essence 4 Type: Simple Keywords: Combo-OK, Obvious Duration: One scene Prereqs: Veiled Weave of Deception
Standing as a beacon of the Yozi's whims, the Infernal becomes a channel for maddened claims and hurtful aspersions, the very air around him fracturing under the stress of alien edict. The Infernal may draw arrows freely from this aura, each acting as though created by Veiled Weave Of Deception, save that they are at no cost.
Rictus Bolt of Agony
Cost: - (1m, 1 lethal health level per attack) Mins: Archery 3, Essence 3 Type: Permanent Keywords: Obvious Prereqs: Insidious Tendril Attack
Invoking the unimaginable power of her masters, every drop of blood the Infernal possesses turns to caustic energy. Whenever she wishes, she may spend a mote of Essence and accept a level of lethal damage to have her skin rupture and a sliver of blood snake out, there to harden into a shard of acidic malice. These may be used as though they were frog-crotch arrows, but inflict ungodly pain on their victim – every blow struck inflicts a stackable -1 penalty to all actions using physical attributes for the rest of the scene. In addition, targets must succeed at a reflexive Stamina+Resistance check with a difficulty equal to the Infernal's Essence or immediately start an Inactive action due to overwhelming agony. Creatures immune to pain do not suffer these effects.
Feedback
Time-Defying Arrow breaks the tick system. And Corona of Fractured Meaning is too cheap: Inexhaustible Bolts of Solar Fire costs 8m+1wp to negate the cost of arrows that only cost 1m to make, so the fact that the Corona only costs an additional 1wp to negate the cost of a Charm that already has a WP cost strikes me as unbalanced.
Otherwise, these are good. I'm especially fond of Prescient Hunter's Cascade, even if I'm a little worried about the pricing... - Hapushet with a slightly greenish aura
- I've fixed Time-Defying Arrow, so it becomes a quick-response and battle joining boost instead of... the monstrosity it once was. As for Corona of Fractured Meaning, I thought the additional 2m 1w was appropriate, given the vaulted prerequisites and committed element - I'm going to have to think about that one a little more. Anyhow, thanks mightily for your feedback - it's really really appreciated...DeathBySurfeit
Im not entirley sure as to what 'Veiled wave of deception' does, do you pay the cost once and get as many arrows as you want, or do you once per arrow? Otherwise, really cool set of charms you've got there, cant wait until i get to use them. - Blig001
