Dan: Also, it's something specific to look up with the pattern spiders. Jason: i would believe it...any useful information though Jason: I guess I'll check with the spiders and see if they can actually help this time Dan: It has the "name" of the pattern spider that filed it. Jason: crazy....I will track down the pattern spider to talk to it Dan: It is probably on duty at the Loom. Dan: Your Efficient Secretary could probably look up its location for you. You translate his chittering to mean that he is, in fact, at the Loom. Jason: okay then, I head on over Justin: Havoc shows up at HQ a bit after getting the message from Wu-Go. Jay: So, Izumi sent me a message a little while ago, written in blood. Lovely no? Hino's off at the Forbidding Mans's records to see if he can find where it came from. Jay: With luck, soon we'll have a place we can look around and maybe find those two. *Showing Havoc a copied version of Izumi's words.* Jason: I ask around on the loom for the Fat One Dan: T_T Dan: The pattern spider is not G0-T0! Justin: Havoc nods at the update, having nothing terribly informed to say on the matter. It's depressingly quiet, as most of the personnel vacancies haven't been filled. Jay: *Sitting behind a desk with his feet proped on it. Sipping on something, waiting* About time you get back, thought you got lost. Justin: Havoc leans against a wall nearby. Jason: the employee lounge Dan: Eh? Jason: "You talk to pattern spiders and get back quickly....I have a headache" Justin: "Traveler is off doing whatever it is he does when he doesn't see fit to perform his duties." Jay: They arn't that bad. Quick and to the point is all they want I'm sure. They are rather busy. So what you find out? Jason: sit down on half busted chair casually Dan: Hino thinks he hears a faint, friendly blandishment from the vicinity of your head, but isn't sure. Jason: take out ninja notebook and say coordinates, "Something unusual about it as well, the spider was most unuseful on that part" Justin: Havoc glances in Wu-Go's direction. Seems to actauly try to come up with something then shrugs* I'll get back to you on that. Jason: "Fair enough, though how are we going to get there.....we can't fly hte airship?" Jason: (we is the coordinates for anyways?) Dan: They're a location far in the North. Dan: Near the Pole of Air. Jason: "Guess we'll have to take a gate" Jason: "Let's get going then" Justin: Havoc will leave the armor with Gyaku before heading out. Jay: *Wu-Go gets up, finishes his drink and heads out. * Dan: Gyaku expresses a wish to come along. Dan: And pushes his glasses up his snout. Justin: Havoc raises an eyebrow at him. Jason: "why not" Justin: "If you wish," he shrugs. Jay: *Gives a slight tilt of his had* I don't see any reason not to have him along. Dan: ...strangely enough, so does Minako. Justin: Havoc goes off to change out of the armor Jason: "let's go then, everyone meet up at the gate" Jason: Hino always ready, heads to gate and sits, waiting for the others to arrive Jay: *Heads off to the gate at his normal easy pace. Once there he goes over his PTR's and then sits down. Fanning himself with his hat* Dan: Going to grab anyone else before you go? Jason: Hino sharpens blades Jason: (Not unless they ask to come) Jay: (No reason to drag people to their deaths this time. Its going to have to be something they are willing to risk. Least to Wu Go) Justin: Havoc shows up next in his robes, looking as severe as ever Jason: (If say the serentity blabs to the other students while getting ready) Dan: She's quieter than usual. Dan: Easton isn't around, but you're pretty sure he'd want to come. Jason: (true, but could be backup in case of others then just the big baddy) Dan: ...for, strangely enough, the opposite reason than Minako. Jay: *Looks to the girl, PTR in hand* Are you sure you want to come? Might not be comming back. "Said smilng with his head tilted down, his hat covering his eyes* Justin: Havoc snorts. Dan: "I... I know. It's just... If there's anything I can do to help Izumi and Koku, I have to! Even if it's just a little!" Dan: She has that "arguing will be useless" look the young ladies get. Jason: "Well so be it, where is Gyaku?" Dan: Like the devil, Gyaku shows up at the sound of his name. Dan: He's wearing a gleaming black suit of armor, and has a massive armored gauntlet on one arm. Jason: "Finally, lets go" and Hino steps through the gate Dan: "Ready to go, sirs?" Dan: He pushes up his glasses. Jason: Hino is already through the gate Justin: Havoc's through Jay: *Waits to be the last through. * Dan: Unless otherwise noted, Gyaku and Minako will be following you guys along. Jason: So we take the yellow lane to the out gate Jason: since we all can't take the clouds Jason: do we get out of Yu-Shan without incident Dan: ...we'll assume that you guys grabbed appropriate papers from Nuran... Jason: of course Dan: ...and rocket through Yu-Shan at insanely high speeds. Dan: The gates are actually relatively close, although thousands of leagues away in Creation. Dan: You exit into cool, crisp air. (think air conditioning) Dan: The room is manned by two lion dogs who bow solemnly as you enter and ask for your papers. Jason: I immediatly put arms around bodyand shake a little Dan: Uh-oh. Jay: *Hands over the papers, giving a nod to the creatures* Jason: "why can't we have to go to the South, why always the North?" Jay: Because fate hates you Hino. Dan: The room is dominated by huge picture windows that show a snow-encrusted city stretching outwards, and beyond it tundra as far as the eye can see. Dan: You realize the cool air is being heated. Dan: Gyaku looks almost as uncomfortable as Hino, for what it's worth. Justin: Havoc asks the shivering ninja how far they are from their destination. Jason: (how far are we?) Dan: One of the lion dogs directs you to take fur-lined boots and thick parkas before you leave. Dan: (about 25 miles) Jay: Come on Hino, can't freeze yet. Besides, a ninja with his knees chattering together is gonna be little to no use for us. Dan: Minako giggles nervously. Jay: *looks over at minako, tilting his head slightly* Jason: Glaring, Hino takes the boots and parka, his ninja pajamas turn from black to white, "To the north 25 miles." Justin: Havoc takes the clothing and wordlessly puts it on over what he's wearing. Jay: See, fired up a bit. Better? Jason: (is the gate in a city or in the tundra?" Dan: The lion dog that checked your papers pads over and sits down, joints scraping stonily. Dan: "I recommend renting a yeddim. Look outside the north gates." Jason: exit the room Jay: *Gets dressed also. Following who ever seems to want to lead this time around* Dan: Minako thanks him, pats him on the head, and follows you out. Dan: Havoc turns around and has a moment of mild terror when he sees Gyaku. Dan: The huge, fur-covered form stirs up memories... but they retreat as he grasps at them. Justin: ! Dan: ^_^ Dan: Waiyaddo no Dan rolled 2 10-sided dice: 8 6 Jason: Guess we head through the streets to the North Gate Dan: Half an hour later, the five of you are riding in style aboard a rented yeddim. Dan: Specifically, in a leathery howdah-like structure mounted on its back. Justin: "This," Havoc says with a distasteful expression on his face, "is why we keep Traveler around." Dan: "Rrrrrrrrrmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm," says the yeddim. Jason: to the North! Jay: *Grinning he can't help it * I'm gonna have to let him know he was praised. Jason: "Yep" Dan: *idly wonders how fast a yeddim would take you* Dan: *counts on fingers* Jason: Hino huddles in corner with the parka covering him Dan: It probably takes you guys 2-3 hours to reach your destination, but it's obvious some time before then. Justin: ? Dan: It's in the foothills of mountain range bordering the snowswept plains you've been traveling over. Dan: Steep, jagged, and forbidding. Dan: As you get close, the question comes up... Dan: ...where exactly should you be going? Jason: Of course, its the freakin North Jason: how precise are the coordinates? Justin: I activate my Battles Senses. Dan: Precise. How precise is Hino's GPS? Jay: (Thinks Hino might need new batteries) Dan: Havoc knows. Jason: (no i don't, do i?) Jason: I spend a mote Dan: The call of battle floats down the slopes... Dan: Bah! Jason: Secret Senses Dan: Anyone else want to chip in? ~_~ Jay: *hes afraid to his his endings senses...but does so any how* Dan: You guys get the mental equivalent of a yellow arrow indicating your objective. Dan: (the path to the cave is still wide enough for the yeddim, but you will have to leave him at the cave entrance) Jay: *Watches the scenory * Rather lovely I think. Lots of whtie but the rocks giving contrast...nice. Jason: don't want him to go in anyway, could get messy Dan: "Mmmrrrrrrrmmmmmmmmmmmm," agrees the yeddim. Justin: Havoc strides heedlessly into the cavern. Jason: I slide along the shadows a step behind hiom Dan: Minako tries her best to be sneaky as well. Dan: Everyone trying to be stealthy, roll it! Dan: (not that that's saying much right now) Dan: It's a vast open area, shaped like a pyramid with the top sliced off (kinda trapezoidal cross section, y'know?)... Justin: What's in it? Dan: ...ramps and walkways entirely made of ice criss-cross in front and above, anchored to vast stone support pillars. Justin: Oh. Jason: air manse, no doubt Dan: There appears to be an inner structure in the center. Justin: or a very cold water manse. Dan: That howling wind I mentioned before? Justin: Ah, yes. Dan: Within the chamber, it coalesces into a melody Dan: A meandering, never-ending, improvised song. Jason: that's pretty cool Dan: Light filters in from above, through ice-filled shafts. Dan: And a familiar figure is slouching on top of the inner structure, gnawing on a leg of meat. Jay: You know, I almost wouldn't mind a place like this. Jason: way too cold Jason: mr monster? Justin: Havoc waits for the figure to notice them. Dan: You can all see your breath, and your clothes are frosting over. Dan: Mr. Monster indeed. Justin: Havoc'll go ahead and activate DoSJ Justin: on general principle Jay: *Watches Havoc, removing his PTRs* Dan: "Should I use my anima?" Minako whispers nervously.
