Maylin
Character Background
Maylin will admit to only one weakness: she doesn’t fare well in the wilderness. As an Eclipse, she feels much better in cities, and after the founding of Stonewall and discovering just how useless she could feel, she fled to the city of Great Forks—alone. Once she arrived she labored under the priests of the God of Writing, learning the River Tongue and getting a feel for the life of the city. When she was educated, she left the priests and apprenticed herself to a gem merchant…she was probably the best investment he ever took on. In a few months she had been given the shop and had spread her Emporium to Nexus, with a steady customer in Sijan. She has learned very well to hide what she is, both because of fear and embarrassment (not she will admit it she claims it will hurt business). There is a third reason why she has become so dedicated to power while hiding her Solar status: Maylin intends to prove that a Solar and a Dragon-Blooded can exist peacefully. Her plan? Marry a powerful Dragon-Blooded and stay married to him. She never actually thought this would happen…so why is she having visions of the Daimyo of Lookshy?
