The Terrestrial Exalted of the North
Taril Malt: Taril Malt is a Hero. That's the only word for it- he burns with the blaze of a hero, and he battles the monsters and demons and scum that infest this world. His touch is a healer's touch, and he always walks with honor and pride. Taril Malt is a Hero, because being a hero is all he knows how to be- it burns in his blood and boils his soul. Even to the South, tales are told of his clash with the Onyx Dragon of Winter, driving the beast away after it had appeared to route the Court of Spring. He is dressed in crimson and orange, clad from head to toe in jade armor so heavy it would crush a normal man, and bearing a sword as long as a child and with more legends than any three Savants can recal. He was given these artifacts, the Invulnerable Hide of the Dragon and the blade Thunderous Charge after the fire claimed his blood, and later found the broad round disc of white jade that he calls the Disc of the Wandering Hero and uses as a shield on his journies. An eye, said to be one of the Onyx Dragon's, is set in the armor, and so no illusion can fool Taril- while the emerald in the center of the Disc only aids in the curing wounds.
Relun Daro: Relun is a hedonist, a man how lives only for his pleasures of the moment. His philosophy is simple- want, take, have. He gets by on his Charm and the family business- which he stays well away from, simply letting underlings take care of the details of how he gets his money. Wisely as well- his father and his father before him both set up interests across the world, and the profits from these constantly trickle back home, to be more conservatively reinvested by those lackies while Relun has his play money. If every jade coin and silver talent were counted, Relun would be one of the richest men on the Coast- and possibly in all of the South.
Mos Gedol: Mos is a man famous for words, not deeds. He is a courtier, diplomat and peacemaker without peer- three words from him can soothe the most grievious of wounds, and bring even sworn enemies to eat merrily at the same table. He asks no money, and requests only to be paid what all parties feel his services are worth- and has never lacked for silk shirts or other finery.
Lostuv Daro: Relun's younger brother, Lostuv is every bit as studious as his elder is wild. Being a second son, Lostuv's needs were never in question, but only Relun stood to take control of the family business- Lostuv would need to make his own way in the world. And so he has, as a wandering magistrate and barister. He is said to know the law of every one of the Hundred Kingdoms as well as the Lords themselves, and sometimes better. No one who wants justice fears him, and it is a rare Lord that will rebuke Lostuv's precedents, demonstrations and rhetoric, or fail to take his side- for guilt or innocence, as the case may be. He rarely goes south, generally finding enough business in the north to keep busy and having little call- but he has been known to be summoned below the Verdant Death for special cause before.
Kol Tipos: The Dragon of the North has been a legend for nearly a century- a tactical genius and the greatest warleader to ever draw breath. He and the Roaring Wind could have cut their own cantrev from the Hundred Kingdoms, and held it better than most, but Kol has never found it within himself to settle down in such a quiet fashion. He and his horse Swiftstep are said to be looking for one last grand battle, one last great cause to devote themselves to- last time, they swept into the southern desert to confront the mad god of the barbarians, returning with the creature's own foul head in a basket. His blade is one of the most famous to ever be crafted- the Burning Wrath of the Dragons has never failed to slay those set against it, and that was the refered for besting the beast-god. His power is built of blue jade, and no other can draw the string back, for it has no string- the wind itself holds the arrow aloft for the Eagle's Grasping Talon. It is said that Kol found the bow in the palace of a demon prince now long dead- the truth may never be known. He ride dressed in brilliant emerald armor, a mantle called the Living Dragon's Hide, and it does appear that he is coated in scales- both for the way no blade will penetrate the jade hard shell, and for the ripple beneath, as it hardly hinders his movements at all.
Avat Maril: One of the youngest of the Dragonblooded of the Violet Coast, Avat is also one of the most respected. She alone has walked the Fivefold path of Sorcery- self taught, she gleans what she cans from ghosts and devils. Avat is the only living artificer of the Southwest, and her least work is a wonder to behold- 'As good as Maril's work' is a saying with value even in Tinal. No one has forgotten how her work in defending the north from a brief Realm incursion, setting the sea aflame- nor her efforts to craft devices to improve the lives of craftsmen everywhere.
