Lunar Shape-Shifting Charms

Tiny Insect Body

Cost: None
Duration: Indefinite
Type: Special
Minimum Charisma: 4
Minimum Essence: 3
Pre-requisite Charms: Humble Mouse Shape

This Charm functions in all ways like Humble Mouse Shape, except it allows the Lunar to assume forms as small as a flea or a mosquito. There is no cost for this Charm--learning it just enhances the Lunar's natural capabilites.

Members of the Eclipse Caste cannot learn this Charm.

Thousand Forms as One

Cost: 5 motes, 1 Will
Duration: Indefinite
Type: Simple
Minimum Charisma: 4
Minimum Essence: 4
Pre-requisite Charms: Tiny Insect Shape

This Charm allows the Lunar to split their body into a multitude of different forms. The Lunar could become a group of doves, a pack of cats, or even an enormous swarm of spiders. There are several limitations to this Charm, however:

  • The total weight of the animals cannot exceed the Lunar's weight in his human totem form. The Lunar cannot, for example, become a pack of tyrant lizards using this Charm.
  • All of the animals must remain within a diameter equal to [the Lunar's Essence * 10] yards. The Lunar cannot send the animals outside of this area--if they are forcibly removed, they die.
  • The swarm acts as one being for purposes of multiple actions, movement, and so on. Attacking multiple people requires splitting one's dice pools as normal.

There are advantages. While in swarm form, the Lunar has his normal health level track, but all damage against him is halved after soak. He can perceive everything that any member of the swarm can, and can simultaneously process all the information provided by the members even when they are observing different incidents. The swarm can also take two actions before multiple actions penalities start to accrue.

Members of the Eclipse Caste cannot learn this Charm.

Blessing of Luna

Cost: 5 motes
Duration: One Scene
Type: Simple
Minimum Manipulation: 4
Minimum Essence: 4
Pre-requisite Charms: Calling Luna's Favor

The Charm allows the Lunar to purchase the effects of a Gift he does not possess for a scene. Prerequisites can be ignored for the purposes of this Charm, but the Lunar must be in hybrid form for it to be effective.

Members of the Eclipse Caste cannot learn this Charm.

Comments, Suggestions, or Flames

Personally, I would have made Blessing of Luna cost five motes, but require essence 4. Seven motes seems kind of odd, especially since it's more than the cost of DBT as a whole. -EndlessChase

Not a bad objection. Changed -Dorchadas
