Lunar Sorcery Charms
by haren
Moonsilver Empowered Runes
Cost:Varies Duration: Indefinate Type: Simple Min. Intellegence: 4 Min. Essence: 4 Prereqs: Moonsilver Shaping Rite, Celestial Sorcery
This charm allows the character to empower his own tattoos with the might of his primal sorceries. Relying upon the natural power of Moonsilver and Essence to hold the power of Terrestrial Sorcery. The cost of this is half again as much of the spell used. This essence is committed until the spell is released (with a simple action). This charm takes 20 - (Lunar's Essence) in turns. This time is needed to coax the energies to soak into the Lunar's tattoos. This allows the spell to be held for later, but it is incapable of working with ritual Sorcery. Of course, this Charm only works with Sorcery and not Necromancy. No more than one spell at a time can be stored. The storage of the spell causes the tattoos to softly glow, and they can not be hidden with Charms (though with a great deal of body cover, they may be able to.) Should the Lunar be interrupted at any time during these turns, they must resist the energies failing. Any damage done to the Lunar by the magic going wild as they empower their tattoos is aggravated, as they channel through the body and runes over and over.

Er, exactly what does it mean that Moonsilver Empowered Runes holds sorcery? So you put a spell into a rune, what happens then? - Quendalon
Oh, yeah, basically, I was thinking of a sort of Sorcery holding Charm to work with Sorcery. It is obviously possible considering the number of Artifacts that are capable of holding Sorcery in some physical form. The major limitation for this is that it must be Terrestrial, the time needed while protected, and that the user must have moonsilver tattoos as a holding device. I've added some clarification. - haren
Haren, you still need to spell out how this works. Apparently you can release a spell from the tattoo as an action, but is it a simple action? A reflexive action? You need to be explicit. - Quendalon
You got me, Quendalon. :) I actually wrote most of these while dead tired. - haren
I think this is a great idea. A couple comments: It should be usuable with Necromancy, but it sucks up a HL that cannot be healed while the spell is captured. The Charm should be purchasable multiple times. A character can store as many spells equal to the amount of times he has purchased this Charm. The amount of times he can purchase this Charm is equal to his Essence. This power should be expressly compatible with the No-Moon anima ability. hplovescats
