"I was totally despairing because I was unable to come up with a fungus based martial art. My friend showed me to the Commission Theater and I've never been happier!"
-Hodgepodgenson of Golconda, Nevada

"Of course, I thought the guy was a total wise*** you know? So I thought I'd challenge him a little. He sure showed me...and my players! There isn't a day that goes by where they don't rue the existence of Fractal Cloud demons that the Theater whipped up."
-Ratatosk73 of Mars, Ohio

"This place is totally 733+! Laser shootin 'splodey-klaive ftw!!11!!"
-Triforcepwnzurm0m of Creation, Oregon.

Seriously

I know from personal experience that somtimes you just suffer from a block and have a really neat idea that just needs a little coaxing to function. I really enjoy creating content for this game, so if anyone out there needs a hand, has a request, or just wants to challenge me, post below and I'll see what I can do.

Pending Commissions

A Sidereal-level martial art based on Blessings. Much as CPoC allows you to make arbitrary diseases, I want to see things that heal, things that help, et cetera. In my head, since SMA can be any 'concept', I can see Blessings working. Can you? -- GreenLantern

I can indeed. Anything else in particular you'd like to see from such a style? I've got a few ideas, but wasn't sure if you had a particular essence range in mind.-A.
Well, if you want more restrictions, I'd say make it a wide-ranging style. Something with a few Essence 4, with maybe a pinnacle at 6 or 7. The standard 'actually useful' Sid MA range. None of that 6+ junk to start off, as you'd never be able to play with it. My bigger goal is to see if it's possible to take the whole "Sid MA's are really just extensions of concepts applied to organized and trained Essence+Body interaction" and see it work in a non-brutal fashion. Things like "Disease", "Consumption", and "Battles" really don't go the non-deadly route, and some of the weirdest MAs are non-battle-based. As for "Blessings", I'd expect things that are actually useful for a Sid who can't get what he wants out of Astrology, and far more immediate effects. I'd really like one custom charm that parallels the charm(s) from CPoC that allows you to make arbitrary 1-2-3rd circle diseases. Perhaps first, second, and third circle blessings? Who knows?! More than anything else, I'd say have fun though - I'd love to bug you for requests all the time, and don't want to dry the well. -- GreenLantern
I can totally fit that into my envisioned framework. Incidentally, have you seen my Efficacious Scrivener Style?I think it might be similar to what you're looking for, although not in the same scope or power as an SMA.-A.
I have in fact seen the Scrivener style, but will admit it's actually a bit complex for my liking. A lot of really tough things to integrate into a versatile martial artist, personally. In my humble and personal opinion, the most useful MAs are the ones that provide effects, but little restriction on them. For example, CMoS Form gives you a ton of versatility, but doesn't limit you to a bunch of special actions only. Similarly, the various charms in PAoC are great, and don't limit you to only one effect. God ways lets you possess nearly anything, while Exalt Ways lets you choose which ability you boost per use, and even Manse form lets you make your own hearthstone. Just saying is all, you don't need to care. -- GL
Ah, but I do care, for you see, it will enable me to better custom tailor my work.-A.

I like seeing what others do with my stuff. Care to make a second circle soul of The Soapstone Heart, themed on feeding on hope? - TheHoverpope

I've been following your work with yozi and tainted manses with interest and it'd be a great pleasure to contribute! You're on.-Ambisinister
Oh yeah, my manses! I should do some more of that project. Oh, and you were saying you're looking for a demon name - I find when not struck by inspiration that an online English-Ancient Greek translator is excellent. - TheHoverpope

I'm working on introducing Immortals (ala Highlander) into our Exalted game (2e) for a friend of mine, though I'm a little stuck on the last few social charms. I'm kinda going for a mystic/intuition theme. Are you interested?

Immortals: check. Charms: check. So far I'm on board, although you'll have to link me to some of your content so I can get an idea of what I'm dealing with. At the very least I should be able to give you some ideas to jump start you to coming up with a satisfactory conclusion on your own.-Ambisinister
Great! I'll post what I have this weekend after I clean is up a bit(most likely Sunday).

I placed a sample of some of the lower lvl social charms on DarkWolffAmbisinister/AmbisinistersCommissionTheater/Immortals, but I didn't put everything I have yet. I'm a little picky about putting unfinished content up, so I didn't put everything I have. I should note that I purposely only gave them the 1st excellency. Also, Quickening is a stat similar to Heart or Essence, though a little easier to raise (but requires taking heads).

and, because I'm ambitious

Almandine, Artisan of Inverted Garnet:The Forlorn Jeweler, Consuming soul of The Soapstone Heart- A second circle demon for TheHoverpope.

Comments

Just wanted to say that I posted my email address on my userpage (GreenLantern) some days ago, and haven't heard from you. Figured it might've slipped off of your radar, so here's another poke. -- GreenLantern

I did indeed notice. I've been swamped with work and school of late, so I've been a smidge busy. Fortunately, my schedule is clearing up and you should have some digital post in your digital box as you read this message.-Ambisinister

I really like this idea. It really gets to what I like about wikis: they allow me to get other people to do stuff for me. I mean, collaborative creativity. Yeah, that's it. Collaborative. Anyways, mind if I bite your idea and put up a commission theatre of my own? - TheHoverpope

Go for it. I'm honored you like the idea enough to do it yourself.-A.

Hey Ambisinister! Were my sample immortal charms sufficent for inspiration? Just curious if it was enough for you to work from. Hope I'm not being a pest.
--DarkWolff

Sorry, Dark, I've been a bit neglecting and self motivated of late. Now that the semester is over and I've finally turned my thesis in, I hope to finish my current commissions, including yours. Look for something to turn up over the next few days.-A.
It's no problem! You WILL be saving me work afterall, and I understand RL issues more then most people.
