Shadowlands Circle Necromancy

Summon The Severed Legion
Cost: 15 motes
Duration: One Scene

Across the history of Creation, everywhere has been a battlefield at least once. And where battles take place, the fallen are often lost, left buried beneath the torn ground. A Necromancer can call forth the limbs of those who fell incomplete, or perhaps even walked away missing an arm. The severed hands and arms claw at the Necromancer's enemies, pulling them down through weight of numbers and tearing them apart to join the Legion.

The Necromancer weaves the spell, then touches but a single finger to the ground, as a nearly imperceptible ripple rushes along the ground out to a range of the caster's Essence*10 in yards. Deep beneath the Earth, the bones of fallen warriors form into withered claw-like hands, no matter where the bone in fact came from. Ribs and toes may become fingers, while legs become arms. Only the bones of incomplete bodies hear this call, complete skeletons remain lifeless. After a turn, the claws scrabble their way out of the ground, and swarm the enemies of their summoner.

The claws will attempt to clinch their targets, to encumber them while others scratch and poke. If they can force their enemy to fall prone, they will swarm upon her en masse, savagely tearing her flesh off in an attempt to reach the vulnerable joints and to remove her arms and legs from her body. The spell will summon the caster's Essence*5 claws, which have the following profile:

Strength 1, Dexterity 4, Stamina 1, Wits 1.
Soak: 1B/0L Health Levels: (3) -1/-3/Incap
Claw/Scratch/Poke: Spd +5, Acc +2, Dmg +2L, Def +0, Rate 2.
Clinch: Spd +0, Acc +3, Dmg +0L, Def +0, Rate 1.
(The Clinches are marked as lethal because of the sharpness of bone claws)

Comments

Yes, there are similarities to Field of Fell Dreams. I thought of this about 5 hours before finally getting to read the BoBaE, asnd decided it was too good an idea to waste anyway. I may make it more powerful, and bump it to Labyrinth, just to make it more different. - Trithne
