Toram/PermanentCharms
As an Exalt grows in power, some effects upon which they once needed to expend essence could become integral parts of their being. However, the presence of such power would make the character's anima banner far harder to suppress. These are some thoughts I'm working on for a system to handle this process.
Intrinsic Charms
To create an intrinsic version of a charm, the following criteria must be met:
- The Exalt must possess the original charm.
- The original charm's essence cost in motes must not exceed 2x the Exalt's permanent Essence.
- The original charm must not require any costs other than essence motes (such as Willpower, Health, or XP).
- The original charm's duration must be "One Scene" or longer.
- The intrinsic version has a minimum Ability/Attribute/Virtue one greater than that of the original charm.
- The intrinsic version has a minimum Essence three greater than the minimum Essence for the original charm.
If these criteria are met, the character may purchase an intrinsic variant of the charm for the normal cost.
This power is not without a price. Once the character purchases an intrinsic charm, her anima banner is permanently increased as though she had spent a number of motes of peripheral essence equal to the minimum essence cost of the original charm. The character may suppress this display (along with all benefits of the intrinsic charm) by committing a like number of motes of essence (the expenditure of which may itself temporarily affect the character's banner).

Intrinsic Graceful Crane Stance

- Duration: Permanent
- Type: Special
- Min. Athletics: 2
- Min. Essence: 4
- Prereqs: Graceful Crane Stance
- The Exalt is continually under the effect of "Graceful Crane Stance".
- The Exalt's anima banner is permanently increased by 1 mote.
- This charm may be suppressed by committing 1 mote.
Intrinsic Seasoned Criminal Method
- Cost: None
- Duration: Permanent
- Type: Special
- Min. Larceny: 4
- Min. Essence: 5 (Due to high base essence cost)
- Prereqs: Seasoned Criminal Method
- The Exalt is continually under the effect of "Seasoned Criminal Method".
- The Exalt's anima banner is permanently increased by 1 mote.
- This charm may be suppressed by committing 1 mote.

An interesting idea, but I'm not sure I'd like *anyone* have have a permanent persistent or permanent perfect. You'd have to be careful what can and can't become intrinsic. I'd *never* let anything with a health or WP cost become so. - Telgar
