Loyalty had already promised not to tell, and would not break even for this.

Empathy - Survival

Empathy felt them all cry out, and steadied himself.

Queen

Obedience - Awareness

Obedience made sure the others knew, and waited for the end.

Sublimity - Investigation

Sublimity found herself completed, and was immensely pleased.

Logic - Occult

Logic connected the pieces before anyone else, and was bettered for it.

Recklessness - Sail

Recklessness kicked down the door, and let out the things behind it.

Wisdom - Thrown

Wisdom knew better, but thirsted to know what was inside.

Vanity - Bureaucracy

Vanity showed just a smidgen of her true beauty, but it blinded them all.

Loneliness - Linguistics

Loneliness died hiding in his chambers, where no one would find him.

Venality - Lore

Venality's heart turned to gold, and then something greater.

Integrity - Martial Arts

Integrity held on to the last, and defended what honor he could.

Intuition - Socialize

Intuition knew what was coming, but couldn't put it to words in time.

Patience - Brawl

Patience stood stoic, but she could only take so much.

Charity - Crafts

Charity's kindliness trapped her in her friend's plots, but it was she who gained from it.

Restlessness - Endurance

Restlessness pushed at the walls, and at reality until it broke.

Lust - Melee

Lust felt the blood in her mouth, and relished in it.

Ambition - Presence

Ambition's hands were the first on the device, and the first consumed.

Joker

Duplicity - Athletics

Duplicity played the fool, but just long enough to trick them all.

Confusion - Dodge

Confusion gave in to her namesake, along with the rest of them.

Judgment - Larceny

Judgment only stood, though he smirked at the irony.

Sacrifice - Performance

Sacrifice knew that the survivors would have a chance, and gave it his all.

Pity - Stealth

Pity was consumed by himself, and the horrors that followed.

These twenty-five, and the others, were reduced into something altogether not unlike any of them, and altogether greater than any one of them could have ever hoped to be.
