Solar Occult Charms by Quendalon
Elsewhere-Perceiving Eye
Cost: 1 mote Duration: Instant Type: Simple Minimum Occult: 3 Minimum Essence: 2 Prerequisite Charms: None
By peering into the target’s Essence, the character may view all things that the target holds bonded in Elsewhere. All such objects appear superimposed upon the target, as if they all occupied the same space.
Mastery of Mortal Magic
Cost: 5 motes Duration: Instant Type: Supplemental Minimum Occult: 3 Minimum Essence: 2 Prerequisite Charms: None
Even mortals may evoke the essence of Creation through the arts of thaumaturgy, but as in all other things, their skill in these arts cannot compare to that of the Princes of the Earth. A Solar using this Charm adds her permanent Essence score in automatic successes to a single roll involving thaumaturgy.
Cunning Enchanter Technique
Cost: 3 motes, 1 Willpower Duration: Instant Type: Simple Minimum Occult: 4 Minimum Essence: 3 Prerequisite Charms: Mastery of Mortal Magic
Where mortal thaumaturges struggle to bind magic into matter, the Solar Exalted chain the same powers with trivial ease. With but a touch, the character with this Charm may transform an ordinary pebble, coin, or other small item into a magical talisman. She may create any common talisman (selected from the list on p. 336 of Exalted) by this method. At Essence 4, her talismans are of double strength, and at Essence 5, they are of triple strength.
If you are using the thaumaturgy rules in the Player’s Guide, the character may use this Charm to create any sort of talisman accessible through the use of Enchantment. She must know a formula or procedure for the talisman she wishes to create, and its minimum Enchantment rating may not exceed her permanent Essence.
Comments
Why if you're using the player's guide does Cunning Enchanter Technique suddenly drop in power? It's an essence 3 charm... Perhaps if they know the formula for making one the slow way, they should get some benefit, but they certainly should not be prohibited from using the charm simply because they don't know the way -mortals- make such a thing.
