Solar Melee

Purpose: Build a Solar damage bolstering tree independant of Excellent strike, focusing on the clarity, light, and heat of the Sun.

Keen Blade

Cost: 1m/2dice
Duration: Instant
Type: Supplemental
Minimum Ability: 1
Minimum Essence: 1
Prerequisite Charms: None

By channeling the pure essence of the Sun through his weapon a Solar may make it cut through enemies as the Sun's light does cut through the mist. The Solar may purchase additional dice of damage on a successful attack roll, but may not purchase more than his Strength and Melee scores added together.

Lucent Clarity Strike

Cost: 3m/level
Duration: Instant
Type: Supplemental
Minimum Ability: 2
Minimum Essence: 1
Prerequisite Charms: Keen Blade

By further calling on the cutting precision of his Patron a Solar can focus his attacks to strike down even the most stalwart of foes on even the barest of connections. Using this charm a Solar can buy additional levels of damage on an attack, not to exceed his Melee and Essence added together.

Glowing Blade

Cost: 5m
Duration: Special
Type: Supplemental
Minimum Ability: 3
Minimum Essence: 2
Prerequisite Charms: Lucent Clarity Strike

Charging her weapon with Solar Light the Exalt strikes with a fraction of the Sun's heat. This Charm adds the Sola's Essence to her base damage for a number of turns equal to her Melee score. During this time her blade is surrounded by an aura the color of a clear sunrise and slowly fades to a ruddy sunset color over the course of the duration.

Smoldering Solar Brand

Cost: 5m, 1w
Duration: One Scene
Type: Simple
Minimum Ability: 5
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Glowing Blade

Raising her weapon in a salute to her God the Solar presses the flat of the weapon to her caste mark. With this act of respect, brilliant golden essence flares from her forehead and burns into her weapon, bringing with it the strength of the Sun's anger. For the rest of the scene the Solar adds her Essence in aggravated damage to all of her attacks made with the weapon in hand at use of this charm.

Solar Melee II

Purpose: Giving Melee a piercing attack.

Diamond Strike

Cost: 5m
Duration: Instant
Type: Supplemental
Minimum Ability: 3
Minimum Essence: 2
Prerequisite Charms: Hungry Tiger Technique OR Lucent Clarity Strike

Focusing her Essence into a brilliant white sheath the Solar strikes throught her opponent, paying little heed to the meager protection afforded by their armor. With the use of this charm a Solar's attack becomes piercing, if the attack is already piercing then this charm has no effect.

Hearthstone Slash

Cost: 5m, 1w
Duration: Instant
Type: Supplemental
Minimum Ability: 5
Minimum Essence: 2
Prerequisite Charms: Diamond Strike

Gathering the radiant flows of Essence from her Anima a Solar using this charm shapes this power int aglittering multi-hued covering for her weapon before visciously cutting her foe. Use of this charm makes the attack completely ignore armor. This is considered a form of 'Perfect' attack in that only a perfect soak or armor charm (Invulnerable Moonsilver Carapace) can provide additional soak against it.

Solar Melee III

This is my attempt to add more attacks without adding independant actions.

Grevious Melee Attack Adder

Cost: 8+ motes, 1 willpower
Duration: Instant
Type: Extra Action
Minimum Ability: 5
Minimum Essence: 4
Prerequisite charms: Iron Whirlwind Attack

The Exalt may purchase for 8m a 'Set' of attacks equal to her Melee, to a maximum of Essence 'Sets'. May only allocate a single 'Set' per target. At base minimums this can grant four 'Sets' of five attacks each for a cost of 32 motes and 1 willpower.

Example: Solar Sally is attacked by three Deadly Dynasts. Knowing that if she allows the combat to grow protracted it will end poorly for her she activates the above charm. Solar Sally spends 24motes and a will to activate this charm. She now has three sets of five attacks and can assign only one set per Deadly Dynast facing her. This gives her a total of fifteen attacks, five per Deadly Dynast assaulting her. If she had spent 32motes instead she'd be sitting on an extra set of five attacks which she could not assign to anyone as all three Deadly Dynasts have already had a set assigned them. Had she spent 16motes she'd have two sets of five attacks, leaving one Deadly Dynast unscathed while the other two receive five attacks each.

Comments

So you spend X motes and X Will and gain your melee score in attacks usable on a single target. Seems simple enough. I'd make it a Melee 5, Essence 4 Charm. 8 motes, 1 Willpower is my first thought on cost (I think there's an Abyssal Melee Charm with that cost with a similar gain). ~ RazorWolf

Know the charm name by any chance? ~ SolVachel
Glorious Carnage Typhoon, I think. ~ RazorWolf
I'd recomend adding an example of useage to better explain the last Charm. ~ RazorWolf

Need to rename that last charm something fierce. ~ SolVachel
