These are orichalcum woven cloth prayer strips made by the elderly Gold Faction siderial, Hope-Salving Immediacy, immediately before he died. They inspired his student, Conspiracy of Poisened Devils Unwoven, to give them to a very young Solar exalt and begin the project. Mechanically, they act like Siderial prayer strips but they work for the Solar bonded to them Hearthstone Bracers 2

Background: Bael was born on a small farm in the Realm. At the age of 12, his family were scheduled to be removed from the Loom to sort out a paradox. Bael exalted, and thus survived, but was to be hunted down. However, his youth, and the recent crafting of the Golden Sutras, inspired Conspiracy of Poisened Devils Unwoven, a Gold Faction member, to capture him, take him to the Far South, and train him to see if the balance and mental conditioning of Siderial training could make solars both potent and balanced.

This lasted for many years, and when the Siderial thought his student was ready, he sent him to announce himself before Ma ha Suchi and demand a duel. The battle lasted seven days and seven nights, and Ma Ha Suchi was so impressed, he graciously let the Solar live, granting Bael the right to two of greatest manses in his ancient city.

Word of this duel reached the Bronze Faction. They formed the Necissary and Cautious Council for the Protection of the Honour of Sifus, Serenity & Secrets, and bided their time until they found a perfect moment to charge Conspiracy of Poisened Devils Unwoven with treason and send a hit squad to dispatch Bael. The squad of young siderials were woefully underequipped to deal with his martial capability, and Bael hit another living person for the first time, realising that he didn't like the actual function of his theoretical training very much.

His mentor, knowing he could no longer protect him and that tougher foes were on the way, directed him to find Ganelon & Ivory Crane and swear service, before being arrested, just in tme to help them save Lookshy. The politics goes way over his head, and organisatins within Lookshy, the Gold legion and Ma Ha Suchi all view him as a conveniant pawn to use to pursue their agenda.
