Background

The Sapphire Division holds amoungst its number some of the best combatants in the known world. These creatures are the gods and monsters vaguely conceivable by the human mind as the most powerful beings to ever exist. Great and terrible, far beyond mere human experience these combatants know discipline, focus, drive, worth, suffering and peace. They know these things within the bounds of human imagination but not experience and are held up by the masses in awe as pinacles of greatness and achievement.

Mnemon Caras Gaara</b>

A martial arts prodigy, hailing from a sub-house famed for its Immaculate Monks, Gaara’s life seemed destined since he learned his first kata. Much to everyone’s surprise though Gaara showed equal talent at the social arts and while not attending the Spiral Academy managed to secure a good job in the Thousand Scales that also allowed him partake in the Wyld Hunt duties he had signed up for. A descent dynast by first glance, Gaara in reality is a bit too liberal and there are those that think his eventual defection from the Realm is imminent. Gaara for now always fights for House and Realm at any tournament he attends, and is never seen with his Red Jade Dragon Claws, Fire Water.

Blessing's Fervor</b>

<b>Type Changing Moon Caste Lunar Exalted – Hawk Totem

History

Blessing’s Fervor is an oddity even for a Chosen of the Fickle Lady. Raised a Dynast in the heart of the Realm it was only by chance that his exaltation came on a family hunting trip to the threshold. Blessing’s Fervor faked his own death and now masquerades as an Immaculate Monk, the station he always hoped to achieve as a boy. Blessing’s Fervor no longer believes in the Immaculate Religion, but he uses his assumed position to help those he can and bring them a bit of peace. He fights for the time of change at hand, but almost no one understands what he truly means by that, which is much to his chagrin as he desperately wants others to help him, but does not want to be the one to broach the subject. He uses to Short Jade Daiklaves, one red and one blue. They are know as together as Frost Burn.

Teresu Lu Ty</b>

<b>Type Water Aspected Dragonblood

History

Teresu Lu Ty is another competitor from the military state of Lookshy. He serves as a captain in the Teresu Navy and his ship, Brilliant Wave, along with his crew are fearsome river pirate hunters. Extremely charismatic and given the gift of gab Lu Ty can often be seen talking incessantly during a fight in order to throw his opponents off. This life has taken its toll though and Lu Ty who fights for Gens and Lookshy is slowly buying into the pirate like persona he often portrays in order to move threw his prey’s world more easily. It is rumored that he has taken to calling himself the Brigand of Lookshy. Lu Ty’s fighting style involves a supremely large amount of up and down movement so he is best in arena’s where there is some type of terrain in the pit. Teresu Lu Ty uses his Black Reaper Daiklave, Deadly Surf, and his Plasma-Tongue Repeater, Black Flame while fighting.

History

A charming fan favorite, Liquid Gold seems to win crowds over where ever he goes. A true sportsman he has earned a good deal of respect from other competitors for his honesty and spirited fighting. Despite not being Exalted Liquid Gold never backs down from a fight against anyone and due to his skill and what is either a good bit of luck or divine intervention some how always manages to prove the under dog in every tournament he goes too. His fighting style is centered on the use of his Red Jade spear, Molten Furnace.

Violet Vine</b>

History

Like Liquid Gold, Violet Vine is a crowd favorite no matter where he travels. Unlike Liquid Gold however, Violet Vine wins acclaim do to his overflowing charisma and unmatched showmen ship. A high skilled combatant that uses poison and guile to his advantage Violet Vine is not one to underestimate. He typically fights as a ronin, unless some cause or whim strikes his fancy. If you listen closely to rumors, though, one will be heard that says that Violet Vine is actually not as large a fop as he would let on, and is secretly a member of the Grass Spider ninja clan.

Cathak Daren</b>

History

The age old story of the man who one day looked in the mirror and couldn’t recognize himself echoes through the life of Cathack Daren. Daren was raised to be strong and clever and he succeeded at both admirably. He spun a post in the Cathak Legions into his own command and eventually his own mercenary company. This company worked for Cynis’s slave trade primarily and he and his men did some awful things during that time. His company was dissolved overnight about 5 years ago and Cathak Daren only reappeared from self imposed exile last year, looking worn but peaceful. Daren fights for the Realm and uses a black jade razor harness named Riptide.

Dominae Creed "The Foxfire"</b>

<b>Type Changing Moon Caste Lunar Exalted – Red Fox Totem

History

Dominae Creed is a whirlwind of fun and frivolity. She is gregarious, charismatic, attractive, and extremely likeable in just about every way. She roams the northern part of the Hundred Kingdoms with her lover Drenan “The Lion of the Lost” and their rogue organization “Luna’s Pride”. She fights at various tournaments to bring attention to her organization, but also because she truly finds it fun to get right to it and mix it up. A veritable blur of motion once combat starts her fighting style is erratic and somewhat unpredictable, as opposed to say Koen’s whose while fast is more flowing and technical. Not being very strong Dominae makes up for this by attacking many, many times and slowly bringing down her opponent with tiny gashes made by her moonsilver claws.

Kylen Falconhand</b>

History

Bearing no physical marks of his heritage, but hailing from the city of Chanta and claiming Haltan lineage, Kylen Falconhand is a bit of an oddity. A swordsman for most of his life Kylen only recently began to learn the martial arts, and like a true member of the Dawn Caste has found no trouble in making it part of his repertoire. A large, fun-loving and muscular man Kylen has found a niche in the martial arts world as a power fighter who uses clinches and devastating punch combinations to bring his opponents down. Kylen typically fights for the village of Sanctuary he lives in.

Mare-in-oga</b>

<b>Type Former God of Desert Rain

History

Mare-in-oga used to be the god of desert rain in the Bureau of Nature. He hated battle and war as it tore up the very splendor that he sought to protect, but he also secretly admired those who fought, because he was not a very brave being and those who had the courage to do what he could not enamored him. Then one Carnivale he stumbled across the great debate held annually between 4 great gods. He was immediately taken by the god Kokage’s striking presence and his unrelenting assault on his other debaters. From that moment on he dedicated himself to studying the way of the Art of Relentless Persuasion and his devotion made him Kokage’s star pupil. He now fights at various tournaments for Kokage’s style of fighting and debate. Since that fateful day Mare-in-oga has paid little attention to what he considers his former post, and as a result the deserts of the south burn hotter with little rain to quench them.

History

Kagg is a lieutenant to Tamuz and one of his most heralded warriors. Mixing powerful Lunar charms with several potent martial arts styles Kagg may not be the most technical or graceful combatant, but his prowess should not be underestimated. Kagg’s reason for fighting is simple, he enjoys it. He has no need to fight for Tamuz as the old Lunar would prefer his plans remain away from prying eyes anyway. In combat Kagg prefers to use his claws and might jaw to wrestle opponents down and quickly subdue them.

Geyser is a man who does not fight for glory. He does not fight for the sport of it either. Geyser only fights for revenge. He seeks to claim the life of Lord Master Chaowin Registrophe’s killing of his then master Cathak Kojiro, after he totally embarrasses him in front of a large crowd of people of course. Geyser was the only direct student of Kojiro to have finished the style and he has done his best to proliferate his master’s style since then. His fighting style is powerful, violent, and totally centered around his preferred weapon the Nodachi. Incorruptible Geyser always fights for the memory of Cathak Kojiro. Geyser’s Black Jade Nodachi is named Scalding Mist.
