The Scripture of the First Serpent
There once was a Beast
That lived in the mind
And behind mortal vision
It consumed the dreams of the world
Glutted itself on the passions of the living
And wove them into fell thoughts
In return it spewed out horrors
Shat out sorrow and pain
Vomited forth terrible, shambling things
It was called Nightmare

The Scripture of the Second Serpent
There once was a Beast
That lived in a well
That streched to the core of the world
Wormed it's way through Gaia's flesh
Eating up the hopes of the many
Taking their faith to break it's fast
Gave them doubt for their meals
Left them calling out
For release
It was called Despair

The Scripture of the Third Serpent
There once was a Beast
That lived in the blood
It was fat with power and strife
With a voice that was pain and blades
It left battle and war in it's wake
Called for torture and death
Longed for hate and murder
It would see the great cities
Shattered into ruin
It was called Slaughter

I'm guessing these are (or are inspired by) the three aspects of the Wyrm, from Werewolf: Defiler, Soul-Eater, and Beast-of-War. _Ikselam
