Having learned the nuances of shifting Essence and strengthing the will of others, The Chosen can now use their own command of essence flows to transmute their own reserves of power. With a moment's concentration (a dice action) the character with this charm can convert 10 motes of essence into a temporary willpower or a temporary willpower into 10 motes of essence. Conversion in neither direction can take character above their normal maximum, any excess bleeds off in a display of light and color around them. This Charm can only be activated safely a number of times per day equal to the user's permanent essence. Every time after that inflicts 1 level of unsoakable lethal damage. This damage must be allowed to heal naturally, applications of essence will only cause excruciating pain.
My firsts attempt at Charm Desgin, what do you think? I had originally thought about making this two charms (one for each conversion) but decided on just one. - Malikai
While I realize that, in Charm design terms, 1 Willpower is roughly 10 motes, they shouldn't covert that easily. Otherwise, 2 die stunts become the most valuable thing in the game, period. They become worth either 10 motes or 2 motes. I'm thinking that could be bad. DS
That and the fact that with by the book character creation its within easy reach of a starting character... How about making it take a full round of concentration, like sorcery, and it can be disrupted, like sorcery, and if its disrupted the energy being converted is lost. I'm also considering making the Essence and Lore requirements both 5. - Malikai

Also suggested was a surcharge of 1 mote, but I'm not sure how much I like that. - Malikai
