Astrology House Rules

• Here is how the "maximum astrology effects on you = Essence" bit. I'm taking a page from FourWillowsWeeping. The maximum number of ACTIVE destinies on you is equal to your Essence. If you have more destinies, the least auspicious (lowest Essence + College) become INACTIVE. Inactive destinies do nothing for you, and if they are Resplendent, you cannot use their effect points or don them as a disguise. If there is a tie between effects for Essence + College rating, then the least auspicious destinies will be determined randomly. This means that, if Rook (Essence 3) wanted to put 7 Resplendent Destinies on, he could, but the 4 least auspicious simply would not function until the three most auspicious either ran down their duration or their effect points.

• Shevon said that Hamo Nehza's star was in the constellation of the Sword. That does not mean his Resplendent Destiny is in the Sword; it means his actual fate or situation lies within the Sword. It's just a thematic thing that I wanted to do. Though it's not easy to pick out the stars of specific Sidereals, especially inexperienced as all of you are, it is possible, and it is possible to determine whether their star is Resplendent (indicating they are using an RD from that college) or simply present in a constellation (indicating present circumstances or future fates). Other important (i.e. high Destiny), non-Sidereal people may also have their own stars. For instance, the Scarlet Empress' star was bright crimson and often lay within the constellation of The Captain, but would move to the Sorcerer if she was engaged in some sort of tremendous magics, or to other Constellations reflecting her current status. It should be noted her star vanished completely when she disappeared.
