Lookshemeru

Heru

The capital of the Solar Deliberate, this is the largest and most populace and productive city in all of Lookshemeru. It is an ancient city, with parts of it being hundreds of thousands of years old, other parts three thousand years old, and even more parts are a thousand years old and less. By its nature as the capital and headquarters of the Dominion it is also the most beautiful and aesthetically pleasing city in all of the Realm. Home to over ten million permanent people, the city is also capable of housing twice that in tourists and transients.

This city exists in my modified setting.

Inner City

This is the central portion of the great city of Lookshemeru. It is made up of portions of what was once Lookshy and the Meru. Its boundaries are denoted by Mount Meru to the north and the Celestial Gardens to the south, east and west.

Old Lookshy

Those old regions of what was once Lookshy that existed beyond the point where the fusion of Lookshy and Meru took place. If one looks hard enough one can see the old segments of Lookshy, though they have long been changed and upgraded with high levels of magitech.

New City

When the population of Lookshemeru grew beyond the capacity of the Inner City and Old Lookshy to support, new construction sprang up beyond them. It is an ever-growing region that constantly expands Lookshemeru.

Important Structures

Deliberative Chamber

Pretty much unchanged from what is described in Wonders of the Lost Age.

At the center of the chamber is the Small Circle, which contained three circle of seats. The five centermost seats is the circle reserved for the Inner Circle, the leaders of the Solar Dominion. To one side of the Inner Circle are the seats for the Chief Crescent of the Lunar Society, and on the other side the Head Link of Sidereal advisors. While it was the Solars whose votes mattered (and the only ones to each have a vote), the Lunar and Sidereal Exalted are allowed to speak and weight in on issues of import to the Deliberative. Beyond the Small Circle is the Great Circle, the seats for the Chosen of the Sun. Around the Great Circle is the Celestial Circle, the personal seating for all the Sidereal and Lunar Exalted. Unassigned gallery seating above and behind the Deliberative body is reserved for the Terrestrial host, and gods and mortal waiting to address the Deliberative.

Solar Caste Houses

Each of the five Castes of Solar Exalted contained a headquarters building fashioned in purpose equivalent to the reasons of their Caste.

  • The Dawn House is a massive military and intellignece staging area.
  • The Zenith House is temple and gathering place. It is also where the Zenith priest-kings discuss imporant matters.
  • The Twilight House is a major place of education, the storage of knoweldge, workshops, and house of healing.
  • The Night House contains security chambers, interrogation roooms and the like.
  • The Eclipse House contains meeting rooms and chambers for debate and discussion.

Lunar Caste Domes

Each of the five Castes of Lunar Exalted contained a headquarters building fashioned in purpose equivalent to the reasons of their Caste.

Sidereal Caste Towers

Each of the five Castes of Sidereal Exalted contained a headquarters building fashioned in purpose equivalent to the reasons of their Caste.

The Hall of Servants

What the Deliberative Chamber is to the Celestial Exalted the Hall of Servants is to the Dragon-Blooded.

The Dragon-Blooded Aspect Chambers

Each of the five Aspects of the Terrestrial Exalted contained a headquarters building fashioned in purpose equivalent to the reasons of their Caste.

Phoenix Den

This is the highest military command center in the Solar Dominion. It houses a legion of troop, an aerial legion, and a naval armada in its massive walls and docks.

Primus Gate

This is a special Yu-Shan gateway that links Lookshemeru to the Primus Solar Manse. Only open to the Inner Circle and their guests.

Yu-Shan Gateway One

This is a standard Yu-Shan gateway that allows the Exalted entrance into greater Yu-Shan.

Factory-Cathedral One

This is the oldest and greatest of all the factory-cathedrals within the Solar Dominion. Instead of having only a single manufacturing area, this grand factory-cathedral contains eight chambers. One chamber each for the Castes of Solar Exalted, one for the Sidereals and one for the Lunars. The final chamber is an all-purpose one that can be used by anybody if they gain proper authorization. Each chamber is further divided into five (one for each element) bays that can each be tooled for the manufacture of one artifact or part. As with all factory-cathedrals this is part industrial center and part temple.

The Celestial Gardens

The massive gardens, forests and such that surrounds the Inner City. Except for some Exalted-only sections, the majority of the Celestial Gardens are open to all citizens of the Solar Dominion.

Celestial Arcanum

This is the small gardens that lies at the center of the Orichalcum Temple, Moonsilver Den, and Starmetal Observatory. A small shrine in the center of the Arcanum is used to provide temple services to the myriad gods of the Realm.

Orichalcum Temple

This is the highest place of worship in the Solar Dominion to the Unconquered Sun. This is a gigantic orichalcum pyramid, one of the taller structures in the city. Its central area is open directly to the sky so that any prayers and masses can be given directly to the Unconquered Sun.

Moonsilver Den

This is the highest place of worship in the Solar Dominion to Luna. This building is actually more of a gigantic nature preserve then a temple. Within this closed area thousands of creatures exist for use by the Lunar Exalted. The structure itself is made directly out of moonsilver and shifts its appearance and size based on dozens of factors.

Starmetal Observatory

This interconnected building of six structures (one to each Maiden and one collective) is the highest places of worship in the Solar Dominion to the Five Maidens. Each building contains a different appearance though all are designed to look upon the night skies.
