Fighters of the Scarlet Imperium
Bulwark-Class Light Fighters
Total Background Cost: 4 [Wyldfarer 1, Manuevering Thrusters 1, Weapon System 1, Battery 1] Power Source: Single Essence Battery (50 motes) Power Requirements: 10 motes / day, +7 motes / scene.
The standard patrol ship of the Scarlet Imperium, Bulwark-Class fighters are simple, yet effective. They lack the power to pass beyond the borders of their home bases, but typically travel in patrols of between two and ten, depending on the combat alert status of their region. Bulwark pilots consider themselves to be the front line of Imperial defense; other ships may travel farther, but the Bulwarks are always ready to defend their nations against incursions by hostile forces. Many neutral nations also use Bulwarks, although theirs are typically more lightly armoured. Bulwark fighters use Essence batteries to power their systems, and are intended for short-term deployments. Bulwarks are squat, almost saucer-shaped ships with a single pulse cannon jutting out from just below the cockpit. Thrusters allow them to spin in any direction, allowing incredibly sharp turns.

Patriot-Class Heavy Fighters
Total Background Cost: 4 [Wyldfarer 2, Weapon System 1, Battery 1] Power Source: Single Essence Battery (50 motes) Power Requirements: 14 motes/day, +9 motes/scene
The mainstay of the Imperial Fleet, Patriots make up about half of the fighters deployed to Imperium capitol ships. Relatively inexpensive and durable, they are more than sufficient to cow most systems into submission. Patriots use heavy weaponry to punch through the shields of smaller ships, although their slow firing rate has left a few Imperium soldiers wishing for quicker action. A Patriot is a long, narrow space fighter, with its Essence mortal running the length of the ship and small wings for speed.

Discovery-Class Scout Fights
Total Background Cost: 4 [Wyldfarer 2, Navigation System 1, Weapon System 1] Power Source: Single Essence Battery (50 motes) Power Requirements: 16 motes/day, +5 motes/scene
Although they are not common, Discoveries are among the more popular of the Imperium's ships, and a pair of them are on every crusier that can fit them. Even smaller ships often have one. A Discovery's purpose is to act as a long-range patrol scout, discovering any danger near the ship to which it is assigned. To this end, Discoveries are quick and small, lightly armed and armoured and designed for flight rather than combat. Discovery pilots in serious wartime situations tend to have short lifespans, but many people nonetheless want to be one of them.
Some Discoveries are equipped with Stealth Baffling systems, in order to allow them to scout more easily without getting exploded.

Capitol Ships of the Scarlet Imperium
Dominion-Class Cruisers
Total Background Cost: 9 [Wyldfarer 3, Weapon System 2, Navigation System 1, Hearthstone 2, Battery 1] Power Source: Level 2 Hearthstone + Essence Battery (50 motes) for multiple engagements in a single day Power Requirements: 28 motes/day + 20 motes/scene
The most common capitol ships in the Imperium's fleets, Dominions travel the trade routes, protecting civilians from pirates and the depradations of the fae, or engaging in skirmishes with the ships of the New Realm. Although they are not large, they are capable of maintaining a small wing of fighters, usually Patriots, and deploy them as needed to deal with their enemies. In addition to three 12-man crew shifts, they typically have four fighter pilots on staff, as well as small security and medical squads.
Dominions are expensive to produce, but are still the mainline defenders of the Imperium, and the ships most often associated with the Imperium in peoples' minds. They tend to be long and straight, with two wings curving from the back to points near the front of the ship.

Harmony-Class Exploration Cruisers
Total Background Cost: 8 [Wyldfarer 3, Navigation System 2, Weapon System 1, Hearthstone 2] Power Source: Level 2 Hearthstone Power Requirements: 26 motes/day + 7 motes/scene
The Scarlet Imperium is always expanding, and Harmonies are the forefront of this exploration. Designed for total self-sufficiency, they range deep in the chaos of the Wyld, finding new worlds and threats facing the Imperium. Harmony cruisers often have crews carefully chosen for long-tem deployment, with a number of savants and thaumaturges supporting their military staff.
To the untrained eye, a Harmony looks like nothing so much as a five-petaled flower, its stem containing crew quarters and engines while the forward petals hold sensory equipment. A single shuttle attaches to the top of the ship, capable of peeling away as needed. Harmony Cruisers are always equipped with long-range navigation systems. A few more offensive models also have equipped Stealth Baffling.

Compassion-Class Recovery Cruisers
Total Background Cost: 6 [Wyldfarer 3, Navigation System 1, Hearthstone 2] Power Source: Power Requirements: 26 motes/day + linked grids
When a Wyld Storm sweeps the trade lanes, it often leaves merchant ships cowering behind their shields, praying not to be transformed. In the heart of these storms, Compassions range the Span, gathering those who cannot make for shelter on their own and guiding them to friendly ports. Compassions are always well-loved, and their appeareance is considered to be a sign of good fortune even without storms.
Compassions are small for capitol ships, unarmed and lightly armoured. However, they never approach enemy lines, and thus are not usually considered to be in danger. In appearance, they look like nothing more than turtles, with small stubby legs to land in ports and tiny bumps to increase the power of their grids.

Devastation-Class Battlecruisers
Total Background Cost: 17 [Wyldfarer 4*, Weapon System 3, Weapon System 2, Weapon System 2, Hearthstone 3, Clockwork Navigator 2] Power Source: Single Level-3 Hearthstone Power Requirements: 28 motes/day + 34 motes/scene
The pride of the Imperium fleet, Devastations are few and far between; not many Dragon-Blooded have the skill needed to design such monstrosities. Fully self-sufficient, they are fortresses of the Wyld, ready to destroy anything foolish enough to come across their path. With scores of crew and a bristling array of weaponry, there is little that can hope to stand against them alone.
A typical Devastation is shaped to resemble an Elemental Dragon, long and sinuous, with weaponry located in its head and claws, and launch bays studding its back. The Imperium names each Devastation for the glory of a long-dead hero of the Imperium. All Devastations also have onboard automatons helping with guidance and governance, as well as supporting two flights of fighters - one light set and one of heavier ships such as Patriots.
