Perception Hybrid Charms

With Perception Hybrid Charms, a Lunar expands her awareness, bringing her perceptions more closely in alignment with the world. Gifts of power are possible with these Charms as Lunars extend their senses into other worlds.

These Charms are rarely Obvious in nature.

Sensory Charms

Eyes of the Eagle, Ears of the Bat

Cost: 3 or 5 motes Mins: Perception 2, Essence 1Type: Reflexive
Keywords: Hybrid
Duration: Indefinate
Prerequisites: Perception Enduring

The character expands her senses, making them mundanely superior. For 3 motes, the character adds her Essence in automatic successes to all Perception rolls based around either sight OR hearing; for 5 motes, the character adds the successes to both sight and sound rolls.

Plant's Roots Awareness

Cost: 3 motes Mins: Perception 3, Essence 2Type: Reflexive
Keywords: Hybrid, Obvious
Duration: Indefinate
Prerequisites: Perception Enduring

The character sends her awareness into every part of her body, turning her whole being into a sensation. The character may see, hear, and smell even if her eyes, ears, or nose are covered, and has a complete 360 degree field of vision and hearing; she may also never be attacked from behind.

Cat's Eye Prana

Cost: 4 motes Mins: Perception 3, Essence 2Type: Reflexive
Keywords: Hybrid
Duration: Indefinate
Prerequisites: Eyes of the Eagle, Ears of the Bat

No force can prevent the character's senses from operation. The character negates up to her Essence in external penalties to all sense-based rolls.

Rat Senses Danger

Cost: 2 motes Mins: Perception 4, Essence 2Type: Reflexive
Keywords: Hybrid
Duration: Indefinate
Prerequisites: Eyes of the Eagle, Ears of the Bat

When in danger, a Lunar's senses are primed and ready. As long as this Charm is active, the Lunar is nearly impossible to surprise. The Lunar adds her Essence in automatic successes to all Awareness rolls to avoid ambushes, or to avoid enemies re-establishing surprise.

Extrasensory Charms

Sighting The Spiritual World

Cost: 4 motes Mins: Perception 3, Essence 2Type: Reflexive
Keywords: Hybrid
Duration: Indefinate
Prerequisites: Perception Enduring

The character extends her senses beyond the mundane, shifting her sight into the world of gods and demons. The character can see and hear dematerialized beings normally, although she is still aware that they are dematerialized.

Essence Flows Through Gaia

Cost: 6 motes Mins: Perception 4, Essence 3Type: Reflexive
Keywords: Hybrid
Duration: Indefinate
Prerequisites: Sighting the Spiritual World

The character gains the power of Essence sight, seeing the flows of Essence in the world. The character treats all active Charms as Obvious, and can recognize attuned artifacts and hearthstones, as well as knowing if she is in a manse or demense. This Charm does not function on any target that the character is not aware of, nor will it reveal any being not using Essence as an Essence-user.

Wyld-Scenting Technique

Cost: 5 motes Mins: Perception 3, Essence 3Type: Reflexive
Keywords: Hybrid
Duration: Indefinate
Prerequisites: Sighting the Spiritual World

The Wyld is a powerful foe, but the Lunar Exalted can learn to harness it to their ends. With this Charm, the Lunar learns to understand the weaves of chaos. The character may survey the Wyld exactly as raksha do. (See Exalted: The Fair Folk, page 133, for more details).

Comments

Ok, you can tell I like these, huh? :) Plants Roots Awarenes: I would make it explicit that this prevents you from from being surprise attacked when surrounded in combat.(Which is a really stupid rule, IMHO). I would also have a minor concrete effect, like adding one die to notice stuff when not activly searching. Cat's Eye: I'd just reduce external penalties by the Lunars Essence, as the current version is a bit wooly. If protects you from being deafened or blinded, but if there is smoke, is that affected? Wyld-Scenting: Just cool, that's all -FlowsLikeBits

Isn't the surprise attack an 'attack from behind'? I didn't think there was another keyword for it. I see what you mean for Cat's Eye, and I like the alteration; consider it changed. - FrivYeti
