The Abyssal can cloud an unwanted watcher or listener's mind with strange and forbidding images. A watcher becomes distracted as they see strange images in shadows and things from barely remembered nightmares. While they do not forget what they have seen, they become obsessed with the other things, then push the memory back. While they can remember it, it is an uncomfortable sensation and something they will avoid if they can. Recorded evidence is no better. It has the same sort of effect on those who study it. Those left alone with it will obsess over it's existance, putting it where they never need examine it again at the very least, or destroying it at most.
