Backgrounds
Connections: 3
represents the high standing in local industry Gunderstark had. Many local industries use the unique metals mined in the island. And, even with a relatively new crew, they are the best at obtaining them.
Familiar 3 represents Olph, a magical flying elephant. Native to the island, Olph was simply an elephant, kept by the men and women of the Mining Company as a pet and mascot. When Gunderstark returned to camp as a newly exalted Dragon-blooded, he discovered Olph floating several inches off the ground.
Manse: 2 high upon a hill, accessable by asking the earth spirits to carry you safely up the sheer wall of rock and earth, is a beautifully carved manse. It is suprisingly posh and luxurious for such a remote location. Gunderstark doesn't care for it.
Mentor: 3 Fellow PC Akuto's Grandfather is his mentor, who trained Gunderstark in the ways of the Exalt, having done so at least once before. His grandfather asked me to discretely keep an eye on Akuto after his return to the island, because grandfather was going away (but promised to be in touch when I needed him).
Resources: 2 comes from the mining company, which Gunderstark owns in name only. He accepts the same portion of income as every other laborer.

Description: A thick, hairless man, tall in stature, with the dark skin of those from the south

History: Gunderstark is a miner, son of a miner, and grandson of a miner. His whole life has been spent on this island, he's never even seen the ocean. Living poor and working hard to extract precious metals from the island's volcano. The avalance that buried the entire company finally quieted the big man's mind enough that he could hear the Dragon of the Earth speaking to him. He was reborn as a Dragon Blood! Hos first act was to dig every member of his party free, but no no avail. Gunderstark was the only survivor. He has now inherited the business, and all the fine things that come with. Each night he mourns the passing of his colleagues, at the site of their deaths, if he can. He will never forget, he will never let anyone around him suffer like that, and he will never make another friend.
