Description
Vengeful Sky's age shows, and shows hard. His features are strong, with prominent cheekbones and nose, a sharp, lean jawline - he was probably quite dashing as a young soldier, but as the bloom of youth faded from him, the dignity of age replaced it. Long days in the sun haven't just bronzed his skin, but have tightened it, lending it a weathered quality, giving him an air of wisdom and experience. His wardrobe varies from exquisite robes to worn traveller's rags to a dazzling variety of military regalia to the simple attire of a soldier. Dressed for battle, his attire varies wildly, chosen from a vast collection of arms and armor to suit the needs of the moment.
There is a distinct dichotomy to him - he can seem perfectly calm and rational, thoughtful, introspective, but his insatiable taste for violence and simple knack for it have lent him a reputation as a ferocious killer with little beyond bloodshed on his mind. Make no mistake, though! His allegiances are first and foremost to his duty as a knight of Heaven, upholding and carrying out the ancient treaties that bind Yu-Shan and Creation together.

Backgrounds
Acquaintances 3: Vengeful Sky keeps in touch with the staff of a small primary school in the Realm geared primarily towards preparing students for the House of Bells. Vengeful Sky frequently spends his vacation time as a guest lecturer there, posing as a former staff officer of the Legions and addressing topics including strategy, small-unit tactics, and infantry drill standards & practices.
Allies 2: Staff Sergeant Ledaal Osric is a Dragon-Blooded, the nephew of the officer that commanded Vengeful Sky's unit while he served in the Realm's legions. While visiting his old friend at one point, he was asked to do House Ledaal a favor by taking his nephew up into Heaven and enlisting him in Yu-Shan's small military force. Since then, Osric has grown in power (though not much!), and looks up to Vengeful Sky as not only his superior officer, but as a sort of surrogate father-figure. Osric has learned the Crimson Pentacle Blade Form and the very basics of the Crimson Panoply of Victory Style, thanks to the watchful eye of Vengeful Sky, but is still quite young, and is frequently too occupied with his duties to accompany Vengeful Sky into Creation. On rare occasions, though, the opportunity arises, and he will eagerly join in battle at his adoptive uncle's side. His tactical cleverness, though, is of more value than his combat expertise, and is only matched by his dry sense of humor.

<b>Connections (the Crimson Panoply of Victory) 3: Though Osric maintains most of Vengeful Sky's connections to the Crimson Panoply, Sky has a few friends of his own, tucked away in obscure sub-offices, mostly busy sorting, signing, and filing paperwork. Every now and then, though, something interesting crosses a desk.
Sifu 2: An massive, ancient, sentient book that refuses to identify itself by name is Vengeful Sky's mentor in the martial arts. Unfortunately, the book is of rather sour disposition, and while its knowledge of secret arts of battle is vast, it takes an enormous amount of coaxing to convince the book to share any of its wisdom. Thus far, Vengeful Sky has only managed to talk the book into teaching him the secrets of the Crimson Panoply of Victory Style, but has made arrangements with the book to learn the Roiling Vernal Tempest Style in the future. Vengeful Sky taught himself the lesser Five-Dragon Style, thanks to a handy copy of Five Dragons Fight As One that he's owned since his days as a legionnaire. While his textual sifu will not admit it, it is quite jealous of this old military-issue text, and secretly lusts for the destruction of Vengeful Sky's copy!
Salary 2: Vengeful Sky lives comfortably, though his pay package is a bit on the low side for a Bronze Faction Sidereal of his age and record. This is largely due, of course, to his constant coming and going from Yu-Shan - he leaves himself little time to try to push for a raise, even though he freely, and frequently, admits that he is a bit underpaid. His salary does, however, provide amply for a comfortable (if small, by Heavenly standards) domicile, built in the fashion of a large, low, squarish building with a courtyard in the center and a minnaret in the rear. Of note is the "Game Room", featuring a playing board for a First Age game of strategy set into the floor, so massive as to demand that players use poles or lances to manuever their pieces.
