An analysis of any object's appearance reveals clues to its purpose, as any Autochthonian well knows. This Charm allows the Alchemical to run standard algorithms that assist in determining what an object does and how to operate it, adding 1 die per mote spent to any roll to determine or use such things.

The Alchemical is skilled at making plans for objects, envisioning their form and function prior to the making of them. They may take time to contemplate the object they plan to create, spending 1 mote per automatic success in the future creation of the specific item. The Alchemical must contemplate the design of the item, taking a number of hours equal to the number of successes bought. It is assumed that the Alchemical has the tools and materials for the design of the object. The Alchemical may not spend more motes on this charm than his intelligence rating. (Note: I originally planned this for the Appearance tree, but it didn't make much sense there.)
