BuzzChild 's Artifact Armours
Heres the artifact armours my friends and i have made.
A note on silken armours
Its not specifically stated in the eclipse caste book, but my friends and i consider Silken Armor clothing, not armor, and as such we treat it as compatible with martial arts. A few of my artifacts are designed with this in mind.
All material within is 1st edition

Kimono of the Falling Blossom ~ art 4 ~ Silken armor ~ 6 committed ~ Written by BuzzChild
This womans Kimono, like all Kimonos, is an elaborate configuration of clothing consisting of many pieces worn together as layers to complete the whole. Made of some unknown material the garment appears to be lighter and softer than silk yet far stronger, pristine white with a perfectly embroidered tree branch coming up from the hem on the side and continuing up one side of the kimono at a slight angle across the breast. The branch has many smaller branches shooting off from it, spreading around the side of the character to the back covering one entire side of the Kimono (not back and front, left and right). The hems and accesories appear simple, elegant and unadorned and match the fabric of the Kimono. Immediately after attunement (which is usually complete by the time the character is done getting dressed) the branches comes to life immediately going into full bloom, sprouting the characters favourite flower blossoms all along its branches. The branches sway in any breeze the character may come in contact with, shaking free petals from each flower blossom and blowing them across the rest of the Kimono where they float gracefully in slow motion, collecting along all the hems of the kimono where they rest until they get used or are replaced by new blossoms.
Once Attuned the Kimono of Falling Blossoms adjusts itself to the characters form, enhancing her natural beauty, while becoming as light as the air reducing the strain of wearing so many layers. The Kimono flows freely around the character never getting in her way, and her movements become smooth and graceful. The character adds 1 to her Appearance and Dexterity while reducing the mobility and fatigue penalties of the Kimono to 0. The Kimono also protects the character from falls. The character takes no damage from falls or knockback/down less than (her permanent essence x 10) yards as she impacts as hard as a falling blossom. With smooth flowing action and a free range of motion this Kimono is compatible with Supernatural Martial Arts.
The Kimono always smells like the flowers it last presented(negating the need for expensive perfumes)and cleans and repairs itself automatically over a scene. The durability of the Kimono and the many layers it is composed of grants 7 bashing and 7 lethal soak providing ample protection against attack.
For 1 mote the character can summon a piece or accessory of the Kimono that is missing or spend a small scene rearanging the pattern and decoration of her kimono, making the sleeves and train longer or shorter; changing the color of the Kimono; changing the type of blossom represented (favourite is default); changing the color of the blossoms (even to unusual colours for that type of flower);creating fictional blossoms; and so on and so forth. The branch is the only firm feature of the Kimono, it can be moved to the opposite side of the Kimono, and the colour of the branch can be changed to mimic any type of bark occuring naturally in creation. The branches themselves and their orientation cannot be changed. For an additional mote the character can add a matching accessory like ribbons, sashes, stoles, bows, pouches, and purses, capes, shawls, etc...
For 1 mote the character can use her unarmed pool of choice to make a range attack using some of the blossoms collected along the hems of her Kimono. The attack has a damage rating equal to the character permanent essence + 2 for every mote spent activating this effect, and a range of the characters permanent essence x 10 yards. The character cannot spend more motes powering this effect than her permanent essence.
For 3 motes and 1 willpower the character can cause all of the blossoms on the Kimono to explode outward around her blocking all sight of her. The petals extend a number of yards around the character equal to her permanent essence and the difficulty of seeing through the petals is increased by 5. This screen normally lasts around 5 turns in dead air, excessive winds can reduce the duration to a minimum of 1 turn. For an additional 4 motes this petal explosion deals the characters permanent essence in unsoakable damage to everything within the target area as well as increasing the difficulty of awareness rolls. This ability can only be activated once a scene and it does not consume petals saved for ranged attacks.
For 5 motes and 1 willpower the character becomes as light as a falling blossom until the end of the scene. The character falls slowly like one of the petals on her Kimono and takes no damage from falls no matter the distance fallen. She can travel normally on the air so long as she keeps moving or she can glide through the air using her Kimono. Note that while falling or gliding the character can still act as normal(if she has actions left) and is subject to the wind. Using Dexterity + athletics the character can use the wind to propel her and reflexive Dexterity + Athletics checks are used to avoid being knocked off course by powerful gusts of wind. While this effect is active double the number of yards the character suffers from attacks that deal knockback.
Donning a garment of this type usually takes a scene and requires help; however it can be done alone. Charms that increase the speed at which a character can don armour can be used to speed up the process. The long sleeves, trailing hems, and accessories can be safely used to attack or parry with martial arts using the following stats Speed 0, Accuracy 1, + 0 Damage , +1 Defense.
Stats
Hems and Accessories Speed 0, Accuracy +1, +0 Damage, +1 Defense
Bashing Soak 7; Lethal Soak 7; 0 mobility and fatigue when attuned(prob both at 2 otherwise)
note: I have no actual idea how many pieces this Kimono has but maybe one day ill do more research and fluff it up a little more. AT any rate it has at least 3 layers; the under robe, the actual kimono(probably composed of several parts) and an over coat. The pattern always shows through to the top layer. When i fluff it up more ill include that; i just thought it should be mentioned ~ buzz
