BujiCreatures/Valley Strider
The Valley Strider is a large spider-like creature that dwells in Fackler's Valley and preys on the poor souls that fall into its trap.
It's body stands 8 feet tall and is covered in a soft whitish-blue fur to blend into the icy surroundings. It has two bone horns that protrude forward from its head that are smooth and have a slight sheen to them. The striders have three eyes set in the front of their heads that have a rainbow irridesence to them. The legs rise up above the creature to the heights of 14 feet. They are jointed at the hip, foot and two points along the leg giving it maximum flexibility and articulation to traverse the ice. Each of its six legs has a bone claw that protrudes out from the side of the foot and extends 8 inches below the foot. These claws allow the striders to grip into the ice while running. The foot of the strider is small, flat and full of padding giving it a quite approach. The only sound it makes is the clattering of the claws into the ice as it moves. It has a mouth located in the front and slightly under the body of the creature. The two horns on the top of the head are actually fangs. The striders have two fur-covered arms that rest upon its body until it can strike its target, then the arms swing down with great force to inject its prey with venom.
The venom from the fangs causes the targets blood to solidify and begin to freeze. Something in its venom acts as a catalyst with blood causing it to freeze inside of the body slowly killing the prey and preserving the meat until it is digested by the strider.
