Surreptitious Shroud

Artifact Level ~ 3
Commitment ~ 6

These drab garments were relatively common during the First Age but have lapsed into rarity as the secrets and materials neccessary for their construction have grown obscure over time. The Shrouds take the form of a single strip of cloth two yards in length and a yard wide. The fabric has a soft, nappy texture and is woven from thread spun from the silk of the Mist Spider. The use of a Shroud facilitates an attuned wearer's attempts at discretion and stealth.

While worn, A surreptitious Shroud increases the user's Stealth rating by one, affecting all calculations which derive from this value. This explicitly does not include meeting the minimum ability requirements of charms. In addition to this effect, all stealth related actions become reflexive. Common sense, however, still applies. Just because the Dexterity + Stealth roll becomes reflexive does not mean it may be performed multiple times against the same target within the same instance. What it does mean is that the character need not split his actions into a flurry if we he wishes to, for example, both pick a lock and be sneaky at the same time.
