Description

The mysterious white hat and plot device! Claiming to be an Anathema in Intro #4, when he met Number Ten Camel in the desert, he has orchestrated the events that bring all five of the PC's to the Lap. He demonstrated an anima flare of the Dawn Caste in Session #1, which proved to the PC's, at least, his identity. Ciel has also met him personally in her intro, but the other three Solars have yet to see this enigmatic figure face to face. That he is powerful, or at least intimidating, can be discerned from his actions in Ciel's intro, in which he scares an Abyssal Exalted into retreating.

He also seems to have a connection to the Rainbow Jewels, but the details are not known. When asked, he gave a Stereotypical Cryptic Response.

From his actions in Session 1, he comes accross as an idealist with lofty goals and virtuous means... although those goals may be a bit too high, and the means too generous.

In Session 3, it became apparent that there's quite a bit of history to him, involving the Abyssal, and the Water Dragon-Blooded that had been assigned to The Lap. It also became known that while he has a great deal of power at his command, it has been sealed for centuries after escaping a Wyld Hunt, and only now have the seals begun to crack.

Appearances

  • Zack/Session1 : He meets and unites the Circle, and sends them on a rescue mission.

Prophecy from a player!

He has an amazing dream he wants to bring into being, and he draws others towards
him. But there is the propesity for much confusion as well. Deep down he is trying
to reach some kind of peace with himself over something.

Comments from His Companions

Five Pillars: Well. Very interesting. He's very old, and very powerful. But something isn't right here. At all. He has other motives for bringing us here than 'saving' the Lap. He could do that in a day, if he wanted to. He's seems to be trying to keep his cards close to his vest. But that's got to stop when itstarts threatening people's lives. First he was wrong about Diamond's anima flare. Then he neglected to tell us some freaky ex-girlfrend of his was out to kill Ciel. Whatever he's up to, if he expects us to trust him blindy, he's in for a suprise. I can't speak for the others, but I expect most of them won't be too happy to learn about this either. I think we could all take him together,if we had to. I'd prefer to avoid it, though. He's no doubt very dangerous. But better to know, than to trust him blindly. We can't leave him behind fast enough for my tastes.

Comments

Soran has flared his anima as a member of the dawn caste. However: Current theories on his /real/ nature from our paranoid players: A sidereal, with Exalt Ways. A Dusk caste, with some larceny charms. A Dawn, but an Akuma. We're a bit on a paranoid side. :P - Scrollreader

Update: Using Essence Discerning Glance on Soran was ... interesting. Whoever he is, he's very, very powerful.
