The Stewards of Summer

Spring is a time of upheaval, force, and preparation; the stewards of Summer are the chosen champions of that ideal, turning their minds to fostering hope, conflict, and force in the world. In the First Age they were assigned to the war camps on the edges of Creation, determining with their arts the best ways to resist incursions of the Wyld and the most useful times to set out on the war path. They used their blessings to excel at combat, flourish in the face of adversity, and create opportunities for growth and expansion. The dying days of the Deliberative, however, were planted firmly in a glut of mediocre ideals and fading light, and even teh frenetic energy of the Summer paled in comparison to what occured. Trapped on the fringes, the Champions of the Summer were among the first to fall amidst the charge of the Fair Folk during the Contagian - those that still lived were points of heinous violent resistance amidst the Wyld, eventually disappearing under a tide of their enemy's blood.

The Summer caste are drawn from those with a particular intensity to their ideals - a bravery and ferocity that typifies the season. Those heroes whose goals involve resistance, violence, and hope for a brilliant future are perfect candidates - they tend to foster war zones, political contention, and radical movements. Their miracles create hope and opportunity, the light at the end of a long struggle that mortals can strive to achieve with full hearts and unwavering dedication. The greatest flaw of the Summer caste is that selfsame valorous energy - they are not exceptional at keeping what they have gained and place more value on ambitions than lives. As such, they must to some extent move from one place to another, as no one society can withstand a constant period of explosive possibility any more than crops could bear an eternal pounding summer or monsoon season.

Caste Mark: As the champions of Gaia, the Arcadians are not marked in the same fashion as most Celestial Exalts. The stewards of Summer have had their shards nestling in Gaia's thundering heart - as such their 'mark' is a radiating web of crackling 'veins' expanding from a glowing patch of light over their own hearts. Depending on the balance of Callings achieved by the Arcadian, this mark will pulse and glow some combination of green (Birth), red (Sowing), orange (Harvest), white (Burial), or indigo (Calibration). The more intense the Calling, the more prevalent the color, and the more potent the Arcadian's Essence, the more veins and arteries glow with the power of the mark.

Anima Banner: The Summer banner is Sowing rampant in the world - a blinding red light that crackles with heat and energy. As the anima approaches iconic, the sensation become more and more pronounced - at the iconic level, flesh tingles and blood burns with the sheer energy of the possibility in the air.

Anima Effects: To be determined.

Granted Doctrines: Summer was granted by the Mother the Doctrines of Vigor (Survival), Migration (Ride), the Conqueror (War), Teeth and Claws (Martial Arts), and Occupied Shadows (Awareness).

Associations: The element of Fire, the Southern direction, midday, the Sowing calling, and the virtue of valor.

Sobriquets: Sanguine Kin, The Brave Sons or Daughters, Mother's Blood
