So, yeah. I'm thinking about making a small project based on the tarot and Exalted. Unlike many other Exalted Tarots out there, I'm not planning to make a tarot for the game itself... rather, I want to make one -from- the game, keeping the arcana and the suits otherwise intact.

How to do this? Well... for starters, the cards feature signature characters in them, the one that represents them the most. The character can be replaced by things, animals, demons, spirits, gods, events, etc, as appropiate.

So, for example...

Death is a card that most people would think needs a Deathlord or something similar in them. I disagree... Death is not about -death-, exactly, although it can certainly mean that. Most often, it involves a radical change, usually when the end of something else. So, I would propose that Saturn stood as the character to be featured in the card, since she represends the endings of all things so that they can give way to new things.

I have a few ideas already too. Some of them are fairly obvious.

13. Death: Saturn
15. the Devil: the Ebon Dragon (of all the yozis, he seems to be the most active in reaching the world)
16. the Tower: Juggernaut / Thorns (probably the most recent representation of Ruin in the game)
18. the Moon: Luna (duh)
19. the Sun: Sol Invictus (duh)
21. the World: Gaia (again! :p)

Other ideas, not set in stone yet, involve...

1. The Magician: Chejop Kejak (man of mistery!)
3. The Empress: The Scarlet Empress (I'm fairly reluctant to do this one, actually :P)
8. Strength: Demetheus (Oh, sure, there are a million characters stronger than Demetheus... but he's somebody that deals with problems with pure physical power, and so I believe he fits)
14. Temperance: an immaculate monk (a specific monk would be good, but they tend to blend toguether after a while :P)

So, I'd like to hear suggestions from people about who might fit well enough in each role. The first 6 are pretty much set, unless somebody has a better idea. The next 4 are not quite as set, and suggestions are quite welcome.

The minor arcana are not an issue -yet-, although if somebody has an idea for one... well, go right ahead and suggest it :P

The Major Arcana is:

(UPDATE Nov 27!)

0 The Fool - Mirror Mask
1 The Magician - Chejop Kejak / Wind / Bridget

Hope was okay I added this to the bottom. Didn’t see anywhere else set aside to suggest stuff. Anyways, going on a somewhat limited knowledge of tarot cards, I’d suggest: 0 Fool – Swan (He seems to fit the bill as far as thinking life is good and worthy of trust, as well as being a little too innocent/naïve for his own good)
4 The Emperor – The Perfect of Paragon (Structured, ridged authority)
7 The Chariot – Cathak Cainin (Discipline, determination and assertiveness)
9 The Hermit – Falling Tears Poet or alternatively Black Ice Shadow (Introspection, solitude, questioning the obvious)
10 Wheel of Fortune – Pat Sajak and Vanna White! … okay, no. The Loom of Fate
17 The Star – Venus

Aaaand that’s about all I got. – Greymane

I knew I had forgotten to put something down :p - Tiffa

The lovers could be a back-to-back Venus (you know she loves herself); or it could be Luna and Gaia. Judgement could be the Golden Lord of An-Teng. He is a Judge, after all. For the Hermit you could play with the metaphor and use Autochthon. For Justice, you could use the Maiden of Battles (since the Unconquered Sun is already taken). ~ Seiraryu

Thanks for the recomendations! ... although I only really kept two of em. Sorry ;p - Tiffa
