The Threshold
If the Scarlet Empire is the pit at the center of the Peach Which Is Creation, the Threshold is the meat of the Peach, the region which surrounds it. While the Scarlet Empire is fairly peaceful and safe, unless a Magical Girl notices you, anyway, the Threshold is a region of danger which only grows moreso as you move away from the Scarlet Empire. Eventually, if you move far enough through it, you enter Oniboshi
