the Children of She Who Surmounted the Omphalos

Stanewald sometimes escapes from the prison of Malfaes when the Earth breaks and shatters. Occasionally, in the wake of a massive Earthquake that levels a town and leaves many homeless, she will come and dance some of her dances before the rubble. On rare and ill-omened occasions, some man of little will and less sense sees her graceful motions and finds himself drawn to her presence. Sometimes he will stand, rapt, in her presence for days at a time before she finally ceases her dance and the two join together.

Such momentary mates seldom have happy endings; some die in her embrace, and others are taken back with her to Malfaes where their fates are most unkind indeed. From these unions, however, have been born a number of hellborn children.

the Specifics of Parentage

Typical Inheritance: 4
Typical Patron: 0-2

Background Notes: Some of Stanewalds Children with Awakened Essence end up gaining a Horse Familiar.
Charm Notes: Affinity Element Control (Stone), and Uncanny Prowess are especially appropriate charms for the children of Stonewald.
Other Notes: Legendary Dexterity and inhuman facility in Performance are quite common among the children of Stanewald, with specialities in Dance. Due to Stanewalds partially dematerialized nature, Blurred Fate is also quite common among her children.

Custom Stanewald Content

Partial Dematerialization
7pt Supernatural Merit. Stanewald's Children only.
Prerequisites: Affected by Wards

Your character shares some of the natural dematerialization of her mother, appearing somewhat dim and seeming to dissolve away in full sunlight. In addition to making your character somewhat hard to focus upon, this provides him some protection against mundane attacks. Your character has 6L/6B soak, which is ignored if the person attacking you can attack dematerialized with a charm or naturally. This power requires a willpower or three motes of Essence, and lasts for a scene.

Is there some reason you don't want to just make partial dematerialization a standard Charm? It would certainly slot into the system better then, and could be used for others... DS
I picture it as closer to the Elemental Powers posssessed by Elemental-Blooded, as opposed to a Charm. Also, if it is appropriate for another Demon-Blood to have this merit then give it to him -- however, Stanewald is the only written up demon with this property. -- CrownedSun

Stanewald's double-damage against rock and earth spirits might make a good merit, and I'm sure there are a few good flaws in her write-up as well. Someone else is welcome to fill those in!

TheDemonBlooded/StanewaldCharms to allow character's to learn some of her Efficacious Dances.
