The Blood Locusts

The Blood Locusts are a horde of beastly ghost-blooded addicted to blood who, at night, descend on defenseless villages and gorge themselves on the blood of their sleeping victims. They are the result of an abandoned experiment by a Deathlord who lost interest in them and left them to their own devices. Since then they roam Creation in packs, hunting and feeding during the nights, and sleeping in their dark hiding places during the day.

Many of them have lost the ability to reason like Man and are driven by instinct instead. They behave like a crazed pack of predatory animals, guided only by those among their numbers who have mastered their drive to feed enough to retain their intelligence.

The horde fights with their claws and their fangs. During their feeding frenzies, the bestial Blood Locusts show little regard for their own safety. They attack even obviously superior opponents if they come between them and the blood of the living.

The leaders of the packs are strong fighters who can wield weapons and carry armor, but their main advantage is their intelligence. While all their actions are driven by the lust for blood, they are able to make long-term plans, find new shelter and prepare ambushes for those who would dare to hunt the hunters.

The Blood Locusts have little regard for, or even understanding of, appearance. They dress in dark and dirty tatters or don’t bother to cover their pale and gaunt bodies at all. Even the leaders, who sometimes wear chain shirts or other armor, don’t bother themselves much with regular clothing.

"Affected by Wards" is not a Merit, it's a Flaw. 4-pts. Otherwise, these guys are neat. Not the way Ive been going about it, but similar. Maybe I should post mine... I'd have to clean them up first. ~ Seiraryu

Oops, how did that happen? Anyway, I corrected it. And do post your guys. There can never be enough bestial vampire hordes in a game like Exalted. - Stanoje
Yeah. I've got some other projects in the works, but I might just clean mine up and post'em. ~ Seiraryu
Yup, I thought so. I just read my notes about The Kindred (my version of vampires in Exalted) and they're not beastial and wild like the Blood Locusts. They're actually quite intelligent. I'm modelling them after vampires from Masquerade, actually. A Labyrinth Circle Necromancy spell infects their blood with death-Essence. With each "generation" the Inheritence gets lower, and they're closer to human. Still there are similarities. ~ Seiraryu who thinks that if he and Stanoje ever give it a try, they could connect the two easily.
