This is crazy powerful.  A full dice adder (at a discount, no less).  A counter that's /better/ than Solar Counterattack.  And a dirt cheap damage adder.  Not to mention that Laughing Essence Strike should have a WP, at least.  I mean, this looks like a Secret Style, if not for the essence and MA requirements.  O_o [[Scrollreader]]

Cerulean Lute of Harmony Style

My take on Cerulean Lute of Harmony Style, with a calligraphy motif. Charms in this style emulate the careful, percise, graceful movements of a calligrapher. Martial Artists may use a sword with this style, emulating the graceful movements they might otherwise make with a pen.

Exalts who learn this style must adhere to their normal die adder caps. For Sidereal Martial Artists, this is Attribute+Ability.

Many Years One Brushstroke

Cost: 1 mote per die
Duration: Instant
Type: Simple
Min. Ability: 3
Min Essence: 1
Prereqs: Charm 1

By meditating on the quiet grace of calligraphy, the character learns to adopt the proper attitude for Martial Arts. Or maybe the Sifus just wanted an excuse to make their students practice penmenship. Either way, the effect is the same. The character may add up to his Essence in dice to any Linguistics or Craft (Calligraphy) roll to write quickly or beautifully.

Careful Rapid Percision

Cost: 2 motes
Duration: Instant
Type: Simple
Min. Ability: 3
Min Essence: 2
Prereqs: Charm 1

The character carefully studies the situation before launching one careful attack. The caharacter may double his Dexterity+Martial Arts pool for one attack. This only effects the character's Attribute+Ability, not bonuses from weapons, specialities, et cetera.

Cerulean Lute of Harmony Form

Cost: 5 motes
Duration: One Scene
Type: Simple
Min. Ability: 4
Min Essence: 2
Prereqs: Careful Rapid Percision, Many Years One Brushstroke

The Martial Artist patiently dodges and weaves around any attacks. Add your Martial Arts in bonus dice to all Dodge attempts. Alternatively, you may reflexively Dodge attacks using only your Martial Arts ability.

In addition, you may delay your action without penalty while using Cerulean Lute of Harmony Form.

Deadly Etiquette Response

Cost: 4 motes
Duration: Instant
Type: Reflexive
Min. Ability: 4
Min Essence: 3
Prereqs: Quiet Smile Defense

The character launches a counterattack using his full Dexterity+Martial Arts pool. Declare the use of this Charm after your opponent's attack has been resolved. You may use this Charm only once per turn. Unlike most counterattack Charms, you may use Deadly Etiquette Response to respond to a counter attack.

Deadly Percision

Cost: 1 mote per +1 damage
Duration: Instant
Type: Supplemental
Min. Ability: 5
Min Essence: 2
Prereqs: Cerulean Lute of Harmony Form

Each mote spent on this Charm increases the damage of an attack by 1. You can not add more damage than your Dexterity+Martial Arts.

Laughing Essence Strike

Cost: 4 motes
Duration: Instant
Type: Supplemental
Min. Ability: 5
Min Essence: 3
Prereqs:

Taking joy in the beauty of an opponent's strike, the Martial Artist demands that the defense be repeated. The opponent must reroll any one defense made againist the Martial Artist, discarding their original roll. If the defense was augmented or provided by a Charm with Instant duration, the defender must reactivate the Charm. (or do without it.)

Pinnacle Charm

Cost:
Duration:
Type:
Min. Ability:
Min Essence:
Prereqs:

I'm pretty sure I don't like how this is going, but here it is.

MeiRen/CutCharms

This is crazy powerful. A full dice adder (at a discount, no less). A counter that's /better/ than Solar Counterattack. And a dirt cheap damage adder. Not to mention that Laughing Essence Strike should have a WP, at least. I mean, this looks like a Secret Style, if not for the essence and MA requirements. O_o Scrollreader

Deadly Etiquette Response <- totally breaks one of the (apparently) unbreakable rules of the game world. There are no charms that allow you to respond to a counterattack because nobody wants to have two people with counterattack charms going at it for twenty attacks/responses each in a single turn. It's like the "The Past is Immutible" or "Ressurection? No." rules. It's part of the setting. -- Halloween

Notice that it may only be used once a turn. I think the countering counters thing is more concerned with "don't make this turn last two hours" and less with, like, the setting. - willows
Yeah, Eqiquette Response definitily breaks the Counterattack rules, but its supposed to. Martial Arts can mess with the general rules about what a Charm can or can't do. In terms of power - I don't think of it is too powerful on its own, but you're right, I've got way too much stuff in here. Its....very much in progress.
