Home Brewed Dragon-Blooded Charms

Rhino-Hide Meditation

Cost: None
Duration: Permanent
Type: Special
Minimum Resistance: 1
Minimum Essence: 1
Pre-requisite Charms: None

This Charm, Like Ox-Body Meditation, is a static effect, though instead of granting health levels, Rhino-Hide Meditation provides additional soak to the player’s character. For each level of Rhino-Hide Meditation, the Dragon-Blood gains 2 Lethal Soak, or 4 bashing Soak. The Exalt may purchase this charm as many times as they have points of Resistance.

Eternal Affinity of the Imbued Essences

Cost: None
Duration: Permanent
Type: Special
Minimum Occult: 1
Minimum Essence: 1
Pre-Requisite Charms: None

Though Artifacts provide great advantages in life or battle, they are taxing to the essence reserves of a Dragon-Blood. Eternal Affinity of the Imbued Essences grants power that can be used simply for attuning artifacts. For each level of Eternal Affinity of the Imbued Essences the Dragon-Blood gains either two free motes that can only be used to commit artifacts, or four motes that can be used to commit only artifacts made from Jade.

Bathed in the Blood of the Dragons

Cost: None
Duration: Permanent
Type: Special
Minimum Caste Ability: 5
Minimum Essence: 3
Pre-requisite Charms: None

A Dragon-Blood may not purchase this charm unless they have the Breeding Background.

The Elements bow to the blessed of the Dragons, bending to their purposes to flay their enemies in battle. For a Dragon-blood of stronger birth, this effect can be much more controlled. A Dragon-Blood with Bathed in the Blood of the Dragon’s anima harms not those who the Exalt wishes to be spared. Their animas are not just keyed to their aspect and body, but tied to the Exalt’s emotions as well. This symbiosis causes the flare of elemental power that erupts from them when spending essence to bend, warping around those that the Exalt has no desire to harm. When their Anima is flaring, the Dragon-Blood may chose a number of creatures to spare up to his essence rating, including innocents, other Exalts, and animals the Exalt rides.

Comments/Suggestions

Bathed in the Blood is an iffy Charm. It adds damage, but lets you protect anyone you want from the damage. I'd make the protection cost something. - Telgar

Simplified the charm a bit, hopefully the wording is better now, and though the charm is not as potent as before, I think it works a little better now. -EndlessChase
