Lunar Charisma Charms

Shape Changing I

Grasping of the Beastman’s Power

Cost: 5 Motes
Duration: One Scene
Type: Simple
Minimum Charisma: 3
Minimum Essence: 2
Prerequisite Charms: Deadly Beastman Transformation (E:tL, p.124)

By means of this Charm, a Lunar Exalt can gain some of the raw physical power that they are normally only granted in their Beastman form. For the following Scene, the Lunar gains the enhancement to one of his physical attributes that they normally would while in their Hybrid form. While the effect is potent, the change to their body is subtle. Their muscles may bulge, or their movements may seem amazingly fluid to outside eyes. None of the possible changes should allow the Lunar to be detected as supernatural any easier than normal.

Seizing the Beastman’s Might

Cost: 3 Motes, 1 Willpower
Duration: Indefinite
Type: Simple
Minimum Charisma: 3
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Grasping of the Beastman’s Power (E:tL, p.124)

This charm is an extension of Grasping of the Beastman’s Power. Instead of adopting the hybrid’s attribute bonus for a scene, the Lunar may hold it indefinitely, or until they next enter their Hybrid form. As with Grasping of the Beastman’s Power, the changes are subtle and should not make it any easier to detect the Lunar for what they are.

Honing of the Beastman’s Prowess

Cost: 5 Motes, 1 Willpower
Duration: Instant
Type: Reflexive
Minimum Charisma: 4
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Seizing the Beastman’s Might

This Charm is yet a further extension of the Charm Seizing the Beastman’s Might. A Lunar may call upon the might granted to them in their hybrid form without such a drastic change to their appearance. All might, grace, and resilience that they would normally gain can be theirs with only minor changes to their bodies. This charm grant to the Lunar the physical attribute points that they normally gain when in Beastman form to either of their other true forms. The changes to their body are minor, such as bulging muscles, joints that allow for abnormally fluid motions, or extra weight accompanied by an assuredness with each step. Like Deadly Beastman Transformation, this effect is indefinite, ceasing only when the Lunar changes shape next.

Claiming of the Beastman’s Tools

Cost: 5 Motes, 1 Willpower
Duration: Instant
Type: Reflexive
Minimum Charisma: 3
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Blossoming Gift of Luna (E:tL, p.125)

This Charm is yet a further extension of the Blossoming Gift of Luna. A Lunar may call upon all of the gifts normally only granted to them in their hybrid form without the need to first take that form. They gain the full bonus of all of their powers, though this will require drastic changes to their body to accommodate all of these powers. Though their general size does not change, the gifts manifest themselves as normal. It will be nearly impossible for anyone that gets a good look at the Lunar to think of them as anything but supernatural, however covering their body may work well enough to hide them, provided they do not have shapes to hide such as wings or dozens of extra arms.

Shape Changing II

Lightning Shift Method

Cost: 3 motes
Duration: instant
Type: reflexive
Minimum Charisma: 3
Minimum Essence: 3
Pre-requisite Charms: Towering Beast Form (E:tL, p.125), Humble Mouse Shape (E:tL, p.128)

The transformations of the Lunars are fast, though to take an animal form several seconds are normally required. If one has mastered their anmal shifting abilities, gaining the ability to grow far larger than normal and far smaller than normal, they may possess the capability to shift into the forms they are able in an instant, so fast the transformation takes place between instants.

By activating this Charm, a Lunar may take the form of an animal in an instant. This can grant them varrious advantages in combat. The only limitations are what the Storyteller will allow, and the imagination of the player.
