Okay, here is how I see Thorns from the brief descriptions from the following books: Abyssals, Exalted: Core Rulebook, Savage Seas and I can't remember the last yet.

I see Thorns as a ever growing shadowland. Sure the main focus is in and around Thorns but that is not all there is. This is still a fresh grave so it's influence is still growing, still expanding and merging with older, smaller shadowlands. The majority of the city is covered in darkness from the shadowland but there still remain small pockets of Creation that have not sunk fully into the Underworld.

The few items of Thorns that the morbidly curious would classify as attractions are the following:

  • Garden of Thorns, the former artisan center of the city ... now a morbid reminder of what was and a twisted view of what will be.
  • Mela's Tear, an iconic remnant of the Dragons strength even in the maw of Oblivion. A last sigil of hope in a dying city.
  • Temple of Salt, a recent construction in answer to the Mask of Winter's presence in Creation. A frontline defense against the Deathlord and his possible march upon Creation.
