Tortured Soul Initiation
- Back to Charms
- Back to MartialArts
- Back to Scrollreader
This Sidereal initiation was developed by the Green Lady, after spending a fair amount of time in the underworld, and familiarizing herself with the properties of soulsteel. It can only be understood by those who have seen a Malfean personally, and thus, understand that Oblivion /will/ inevitably come for them. This comfort is the only thing that keeps the Martial Artist sane and alive, when he truly attunes his anima to Soulsteel's resonance of suffering, and it's craving for oblivion.
Charms
Void's Eternal Hunger
- Cost: 10 motes, 1 WP
- Duration: 1 scene
- Type: Simple
- Min. Martial Arts: 4
- Min. Essence: 3
- Prerequisite Charms: None
The character summons the endless hate of the Malfeans and the Eternal Emptiness of the Void into himself. For the remainder of the scene, he may absorb the motes stolen by a soulsteel weapon which is in form for him. This is explicitly compatible with Punishing Soulsteel Palm.
Punishing Soulsteel Palm
- Cost: 5 motes, 1 Lethal Health Level
- Duration: 5 turns
- Type: Reflexive
- Min. Martial Arts: 5
- Min. Essence: 4
- Prerequisite Charms: Void's Eternal Hunger
The character torturously bends his anima, empowering his strikes with the horrid, suffering ressonance of soulsteel. These death-essence charged attacks ignore the first 10 pts of an opponent's soak, and on a sucessful hit, drain twice the martial artist's permanant essence in motes away into Oblivion.
Initiation Effect
Any Exalted who have mastered this Initiation and who know the Four Magical Materials Form may choose to add the capabilities of Punishing Soulsteel Palm to the Form charm (Now 5 Magical Materials Form) by spending 1L health level, when they assume the form. This damage may not be healed, while the form is active.
Comments
Hm. I like these Charms. I do think that it's a little too easy to obtain the initiation effect. For my purposes, I'd simply make the character learn the Five Magical Materials Form and the newly revised PAoC, maybe with its own new name like Symmetrical Arrangement of Worlds Form. - willows
