Anima-Avoiding Technique
Cost: 1+ Willpower
Duration: Instant
Type: Simple
Min. Lore: 4
Min. Essence: 2
Prereqs: Elemental Concentration Stance

By passing her hand through a small portion of her element (for example, a candle flame, a basin of water or a pile of twigs), the Exalt may pass on the majesty of her anima to it, freeing her from any unpleasant effects that such a display may cause and allowing her to use her full strength with the knowledge that she can conceal it later. When this Charm is used, the Exalt may decrease her anima banner by one increment for each Willpower spent. The touched element takes on this discarded flare, though at a size proportional to it.

Example: Saris (an Air-Aspected Dragon-Blood) is on his way to a meeting between his family and the Cynis, to sort out a business deal that will bring them both significant revenue, assuming everything goes smoothly. As he nears the gathering, he is attacked by a V’neef assassin, intent on stopping the deal! Knowing that he will need his Personal Essence for the wheeling and dealing, Saris spends 5 motes from his Peripheral pool to put up Whirlwind Shield Form and Wind Armor Technique. After the (rather ineffective) assassin is dispatched, Saris simply puts his hand into the air and spends two Willpower. His anima banner instantly drops to nothing, and the affected air starts swirling with the jagged ice crystals that are his signature. Hoping that the frozen breeze doesn’t disrupt the gathering, he makes his way there, fully prepared for a day of arduous negotiation.

Not sure if this is any good, or even very useful... but here it is. - LeumasWhite

I like it. It's useful too. Instead of burning down some poor mayor's house after being attacked by wild barbarians, you can shift your anima onto someone's bonfire (providing extra free heat!) and wander around the wooden village with no trouble.

I gotta agree with darloth it's one of the most useful charms i've seen in a while and besides DB lore needs some more non-combat charms.-Issaru

This is a very useful charm for any DB. I would think that most DBs would want to learn it pretty quickly for its utility. ~Dalassa
