This charm permanently enhances the Second Excellency for defensive purposes removing the cap on the maximum number of motes spent. This effect explicitly cannot be used to increase the ability to hurt another and when used to defend against an attack – must always occur on step 2.
Example- A Dragon-Blooded scout could use the benefits of Terrestrial Stealth Aegis in order to evade an enemy patrol. This advantage would be lost if she instead elected to eliminate one or more members of the patrol with a surprise attack.
