SciFu/AerialCombat

Cloudrunners, like many other advanced war machines, are simultaneously weapons and armor. One approach to an aerial combat system might treat them simply as such. However, in SciFu, to meet the setting's goals, emphasizing the role of technology is desireable, so the systems surrounding Cloudrunners will treat them less as gear the pilot wields and more as devices the pilot operates. This does add a layer of complexity, something that I generally prefer to avoid, so please, feel free to point out ways I could streamline this without oversimplifying.
