SolarMelee/Vizzeroth
Background
These are charms I have come up with for the campaign I play in.
Charms
Frost Surprises the Blooms
Cost: 5 motes Duration: 1 turn Type: Reflexive Min. Melee: 4 Min Essence: 3 Prereqs: Excellent Strike
As any farmer knows, a sudden frost can wipe out his crops without warning. With this charm, the solar can emulate the frost, moving so quickly when he attacks that it is only perceptible to the most astue observer; he could move through a hall lined with guards without breaking a casual walk, his sheathed weapon the only hint of a violent intent. When he attacks, most people do not see any movement at all, they only see results. The solar makes his attacks as normal, but if it is his first attack against someone it counts as a surprise, and the target recieves no parry. The target will automatically detect the next attacks that occur in the same round, however, those around the target must roll Awareness+Perception against the solar's Essence to realize that the solar is attacking, otherwise he will appear to be doing whatever he was doing before he attacked.
Blizzard Falls Gently at Night
Cost: 10 motes, 1 WP Duration: 1 scene Type: Simple Min. Melee: 5 Min Essence: 4 Prereqs: Frost Surprises the Blooms
As snow falls without making a noise, so too can the solar attack imperceptibly and without revealing intent. All effects remain the same as the Frost Surprises the Blooms, except that if a character is attacked by a Solar over multiple turns, his difficulty in perceiving the attacks drops by 1 for each attack made on him in the previous round.

The visual effect I was hoping to achieve would be such that the Solar, if he were walking, would appear not to move to attack someone within striking range even if he made an attack because he was moving faster than the eye could percieve. This would mean, for instance, that the solar could leave his sword in its sheath, and draw, attack, and replace the sword in only the briefest instant, not appearing to have moved at all. I'm thinking about letting this apply to parries as well; the sword is only out for the microseconds necessary to glance the incoming blade, and then the solar almost instantly resheathes it. - Vizzeroth
I do like this effect. It is in the spirit of Exalted. I have now added it to the abilities of my Solar Nightcast. - Savare
I like these too... but it might seem appropriate for them to have a stealth requisite of some sort, as they are most certainly useful if you wish to strike without being detected.
