A good question. My immediate reaction is to say no, and therefor to avoid a number of potential problems I see, but then that takes away the options of encountering things while walking. ALA Babylon 5 hyperspace and finding the shadows.

So, I'm going to rule this is a yes, you can, but there are other things out there as well, and some of them may not be friendly. It's usually not a problem, but you have heard stories...

(How does that sound to everyone? I am open to debate on this.)

Yes, absolutely, you respond to sid charms exactly as a Creature outside of fate would, even your own. (However this has no effect on charms you aplly to yourself before you walk outside of fate.)
