On Moonsilver: Moonsilver is the product of silver immersed in pure running water, which is exposed to moonlight and no sunlight for a full year, from one Calibration to another. This transforms one talent (about enough to craft a single daiklaive) of Moonsilver.
It is thus relatively rare for Moonsilver to occur in nature, although hardly impossible. However, in the First Age, many Lunars constructed special forgeries which enginnered the circumstances under which the moonsilver transformation occured. These factories have been almost completely destroyed in this fallen age; the Shogunate and the Realm both spare almost no expenses in destroying the few that remain, and stockpile the moonsilver that had been produced with the heavily guarded deposits of orihalcum- unwilling to risk the wrath of the Incarna by destroying it.
Additionally, some Lunars disdain such 'unnatural' moonsilver, instead slowly teaching silver how to take on the protean nature of moonsilver themselves, or seeking out the few natural deposits. Although they may claim their artifacts are more spirtually pure, there is no practical difference between moonsilver based on origin.
In it's raw state, Moonsilver looks and acts a great deal like mercury. It gleams dully, and is a viscous liquid which tends to stick together. It also reacts to strong emotions in it's presence, twisting or changing colors. Moonsilver also resists confinement- it has an unnatural tendency to escape containers it is in, although a skill thaumaturge- even a mortal -can compensate for this problem with a sufficent workshop.

Blood and Moonsilver
Cost: 1 mote, 1 Health Level per 2 points Duration: One Scene Type: Simple Minimum Stamina: 1 Minimum Essence: 1 Prerequisite Charms: None
Allows the Lunar to give up some of their life to enhance the power of a moonsilver weapon they are attuned to. Health levels so spent are committed, and may not be healed until the Charm ends. Each Health Level gives 2 points to spend to enhance a Moonsilver Weapon. 1 point adds 2 to Speed, 1 to Accuracy, Damage or Defense, and 2 points add 1 to Rate. You may not committ more Health Levels than your Stamina.
Moonsilver Arms
Cost: Varies, 1 Willpower Duration: Until Released Type: Simple Minimum Wits: 3 Minimum Essence: 2 Prerequisite Charms: Blood and Moonsilver
Allows the Lunar to attempt to provide more power to their Moonsilver weapon by deepening their attunment. This requires at least ten minutes of uninterupted meditation, and a successful Wits + Lore roll, difficulty 3. If successful, the Lunar may committ up to their Essence+Intelligence motes; every mote provides an additional point, which is spent as in Blood and Moonsilver.
Infinite Armament
Cost: 5 motes, 1 Willpower Duration: Until Released. Type: Simple Minimum Wits: 4 Minimum Essence: 2 Prerequisite Charms: Moonsilver Arms
Allows the Lunar to reshape a Moonsilver weapon they are attuned to to any other normal moonsilver weapon. This requires a Wits+Lore roll, with the difficulty equal to 3 plus twice the difference between the artifact levels of the weapons being exchanged. Creating a Moonsilver powerbow in this fashion provides no benefit. A Moonsilver artifact may also be made to look like an exceptionally well made, but otherwise mundane weapon, with a difficulty of 2.
Expanding Blade's Edge
Cost: 1 mote per die Duration: Instant Type: Supplimental Minimum Strength: 2 Minimum Essence: 2 Prerequisite Charms: Blood and Moonsilver
Allows the Lunar to re-roll successes on a damage roll made with a Moonsilver weapon. The damage from the attack is the total number of successes rolled- so if a Lunar rolls 4 successes the first time, and 2 the second, they inflict a total of 6 levels of damage.
Insidious Moonsilver Shard
Cost: 5 motes Duration: Instant Type: Supplimental Minimum Dexterity: 4 Minimum Essence: 3 Prerequisite Charms: Expanding Blade's Edge
An attack enhanced with Insidious Moonsilver Shard that deals damage inflicts 1 die of damage every day on the target, until they are dead. Shards may be removed an Intelligence + Medecine roll, difficulty equal to the Lunar's Essence plus the number of days the wound has gone untreated. Multiple applications stack, to a maximum of the Lunar's Essence, and the motes are committed until the target is dead or the shards are removed. If the Lunar dies, the shards will continue their attempt at taking the victim's life for a number of days equal to the Lunar's Essence.
Sword Swallowing Technique
Cost: 1 mote Duration: Until Released Type: Reflexive Minimum Stamina: 3 Minimum Essence: 2 Prerequisite Charms: Blood and Moonsilver
Allows the Lunar to swallow a moonsilver weapon, circulating it into the Lunar's body. This weapon may be retrieved as a reflexive action by decommitting the mote used to swallow it.
