A Tale of Two Empresses concerns the lives and times of a patchwork Circle of Dragonblooded in the final years of the Scarlet Empress' Realm. By fate or by chance, this Circle will play a role in the fall of the Realm. The Realm's survival, who sits on the throne, even whether or not the Realm survives hangs upon their decisions.
