By binding the fate of one being to that of another, it is possible to extend the life of a person but only for a time. When this Charm is enacted a prayer strip bearing the scripture of the Maiden and the Road must be consumed by each of the two participants in this charm. These participants must be either Half-Blooded of any variety, Dragon-Blooded or mortal. They can not be a God, Demon, Ghost, Fae or Celestial Exalted. Because of the nature of the intertwining, the beneficiary of this Charm must be a parent of the other participant. Once the prayer strips have been consumed, the binding is complete. The parent will live so long as the child survives barring unnatural intervention such as murder, the Great Contagion or other non-natural circumstances. However, once the child dies, the parent will also pass from the world within a day. The death of the parent at this point in time is sealed in Fate and can not be prevented by any means at all. Neither participant in this binding can become a ghost.

Can Dead Child Bargain be used upon multiple generations in sequence? (i.e. between grandparent and parent, and between parent and child.) - Quendalon
I'm not sure. I'm tempted to say no, but saying yes doesn't really unbalance the Charm...ST ruling, I guess. - Telgar
- Saying yes allows for people to live forever. As long as each child takes the bargain. - Scrollreader
Nah. Someone would stab them. It doesnt matter if the child's death is natural. - Telgar
- But the point is that they're immortal as long as no one does stab them. :) Also, does this have any impact on aging? - Quendalon
I'm tempted to say no, really I am. But I imagine the Charm provides for enough vigor to maintain some level of activity even in impossibly advanced age. In other words, growing old past your natural lifespan doesnt impose penalties, but you still look pretty geezerly. - Telgar
