Nypion, Demon of the Second Circle
The Reflective Soul ofThinker/Anhelios, The Sorcerer's Arm
(By Thinker)
Description: Coalescing around the Demon Star’s relationship with the sailors upon the Malfean Ocean Nypion, lends his strength to those who bind him or who earn is favor. In his natural state Nypion appears as a hollow demon, nearly nine feet tall and with huge bulging muscles, oddly counter pointing his hollow center. Nypion roams the waters of Kimberry both above and below the surface and knows of all things that move upon the lightless sea or within it. Mortals of the west that truly worship the Yozi’s and work for their return can sometimes receive Nypion’s favor, when called by the proper rituals Nypion can slip into Creation, and join himself to a worshiper giving them the terrible strength of his Demonic power for a single worthy task. Far more often Nypion is summoned and bound by a Celestial Exalted Sorcerer who desires his strength in combat, and forces the same union upon him. When bound by the Demon of the Second Circle spell, Nypion’s Ride Charm work’s differently the mastery that his summoner has over him prevents his virtues from joining with his hosts, as they retain total control of him. The rest of the Ride Charm proceeds normally. Nypion is not fond of these forced unions and will plot against the sorcerer if he comes across an opportunity to do them harm, though he is less tenacious about this than some demons, and will not generally actively seek the sorcerers destruction. If a sorcerer attempts to bind Nypion and fails then he will invariably try to possess them and Hollow out their Soul, using their body as a vessel to spread the aims of Kimberry in Creation as long as it is safe before throwing them off a cliff into the ocean.

Other Notes: Even if Riding a Host with less than Essence 4 Nypion
at his option can allow the host to retain control of their body,
while still gaining the benefits of his Traits. When Riding a host
ignore Nypion’s Hollow Body for purposes of soak.
There is one finaly weakness in summoning and binding Nypion, while
he may be helpless if forced to Ride an Exalt while bound, Kimberry
is not, should the Primordial possess Nypion while Nypion rides an
Exalt, then the synthesized Character is totally under Kimberry’s
sway for the duration of her presence, that includes access to all
their knowledge and abilities. Kimberry has never used this power
to her advantage, she is simply waiting and watching for a chance.
The knowledge that the Yozi’s can embody themselves in their lesser
souls is largely lost, and while bureau regulations forbid the
Sidereal from using Nypion in this way only the most Erudite
Sidereal’s know why.
